The main problem with Roberton is that he is unbelievably slow. I've seen blokes go past him and it looks like he's standing still.

There is no room for plodders in modern football. Not unless they bring something else very special to the table anyway.

His first few steps are unreal apparently.

Maybe because he's at top speed after one step.

NO DEAL

With the right coaching and if he remains injury free.
Suban can easily be in our top10

I would play him down back in the Ibbo role.
Suban kicking in would be great.
Then pushing into midfield also

What's wrong with Anthony? why do you want Suban so much?

Nothing wrong with Anthony. Shoulder surgery restricted him from playing in the clinches this season. He would be a great pick up for Freo. Garlett isn't getting his fair share of games at North. Both are surplus to our midfield now though.

North really need a player to play HBF and/or lock down dangerous small forwards.

Freo needs centre clearance specialists. North have surplus.

North needs highly skilled HBFlankers. Freo have surplus.

Realistically, most North supporters would offer:

Anthony plus 2nd round pick

or

Garlett plus 2nd round pick

or

Anthony plus Garlett

Suban is off limits. He is a great leader and is tipped to be our next captain. I really want Cruize and I was annoyed he got a couple of late games for North to pump up his value a little. Before those games we could have got him in the PSD for free, now we may have to give up a 3rd or 4th round pick for him. I'm not willing to pay more than that. If you were to give us Anthony and Gartlett for Duffield I'd be keen on that.

Thanks Brad.

Or is that Ross??

Height? Endurance?

Endurance.

I remember him playing on some small forward speedster types in the WAFL and surprising them with his first few steps. Surprised the hell out of me too. His coach later commented he's very quick off the mark.

There was a game against West Perth last year where he quickly closed down Saylor (who's quite nippy) in the goal square that was memorable (nothing like seeing garlic getting crushed:)), but I think that was as much as a result of him being able to quickly read the play and seize the right option.

Which is not a bad ability to have, and something that can be built upon.

Don't rate Andrew? Suban may vastly improve in the near future, or he may not- but currently he isn't half the footballer Andrew Swallow is and I'm a fan of Suban.

He's good, but I don't think he's as damaging as Suban is. Running off the HBF or through the middle he can slaughter teams.

Swallow is a good player, but I wouldn't swap him for Suban.

I don't see the future captain material in Suban yet. Hasn't done anything to demonstrate that he's got it between the ears. Goes hard at it though.
