Thanks.

There is a difference between posters like yourself who share Intel that may or may not come true... & those who just make it up for fun to seek attention.

I also heard at the beginning of the year from a source who was confident he would stay... but this was before the family news, which could now be a factor. I still hold out hope as they both do like living in Adelaide & Rory loves the Crows.

Yes when I had the info earlier this year it was also before the family news.

I take some comfort in the way the media has behaved historically with some of our players. It starts with all this reporting that said player is heading back to Victoria....the jungle drums continue to beat loudly......then it dies down....................then we announce a contract extension.
The Sloane story has followed a similar path...........crickets from the Vic media which I seem to think they know whats going on.

Except for the recent article regarding hawthorn having a crack.

FMD hindsight a wonderful thing...

We should’ve traded Sloane as a contracted 27 year old to St kilda in the last hours of trade week last year.. saints had picks 7 and 8.. we could’ve said you can have him for either pick 7 or 8 last year and your first round pick in 2018. At the time they would’ve been thinking they were certain to be top 8 this year so they probably would’ve jumped at it thinking Sloane would make them ever more certain for a 2018 finals position...

We’d have picked up fog at 7 or 8 and another great young player with pick 12 in last year’s draft.. and we’d have St Kilda’s pick this year which is currently pick 3 and likely to stay at pick 3.

And the saints would have an injured Sloane captaining from the sidelines...

Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrk!!!...
Like with Danger, you say that like Sloane would have agreed to the trade.

For those commenting news on Sloane has been a bit quiet of late, he’s made the Nine sports news this morning as being in high demand.

I'm sure he's being talked about in footy clubs, but funnily enough I reckon people are respecting his return to injury thus the talk has died down.

I would love for this thread to fall off the front page for a few months for my own mental sanity. Its such a junk time thread at this point, all rumors and never any facts. And I know I shouldn't click on it for that reason, but I still find myself doing it pretty much every time I logon!

Mention on 5AA this morning, that Rory was see family house hunting in a beach side suburb of Adelaide, read into what you want
Investment property in close proximity to the beach, schools etc. Families renting tend to be more settled and take on longer term leases. With the added bonus of good ROI and in areas with stable capital growth. :)

And so much cheaper than similar investments in Melbourne
