Trade out Hartigan to Sydney or GWS who to me look like could use a key defender. Pick 15 or pick 10 (add in pick 19 if need be).
Trade Kelly and 2019 first for Fantasia and Francis. Pick 37 for Lycett.
Lose kelly, hartigan, cheney, otten, mackay and bring in McGovern.

That is a very optimistic view of things. MAYBE the 2 first rounders could get rankine if we traded up. But no way are Sydney passing on a first rounder fro Hartigan -no way. Kelly and our 2019 first might get Francis and fantasia..maybe, but that is Dodoro you are dealing with and he is the hardest negotiator in the business. Pick 37 for Lycett might be a goer. Bringing in McGovern then requires a mammoth offer. Then how do we get Rozee? as we will not have the first round pick and it would be extremely unlikely he is there for the carlton 2nd rounder. Lochowiak is a no brainer with a late pick as an academy player

Reasonably confident.

I personally find the Lynch bit interesting and not something I thought would happen.

My discussions from another sauce earlier this year was that the club was confident Sloane would stay, so its this bit I believe more than the Lynch story.

For the record my intel and what I've previously posted on a few players is:
Was told by a board member that Danger would stay, that statement from this person was very confident but it didn't turn out that way.

Regarding Lever another board member I had a bit of a chat with alluded to the fact that the club would not pay Lever the big $$ and without this person saying so directly it was conveyed in a way that you could only come to the conclusion Lever was gone.

And re Sloane I had a chat with another board member and they were confident Sloane would stay.

Having said that the info I got last night was from another sauce and not the board members I've chatted to in the past.

So I'm not here beating my chest saying its a done deal and neither would I purposely post something I knew for a fact was wrong.

There is a difference between posters like yourself who share Intel that may or may not come true... & those who just make it up for fun to seek attention.

I also heard at the beginning of the year from a source who was confident he would stay... but this was before the family news, which could now be a factor. I still hold out hope as they both do like living in Adelaide & Rory loves the Crows.

Lynch probably wants to stay but i dont feel he will get the deal he is looking for from us. Another club will have to pony up to pry him away. Sloane is most likely looking at opportunities in melb after retirement and supportimg his wife in her career advancement which would have more opportunities interstate. We will survive if both leave and may in fact be stronger in time with the correct recruiting/trading.

FMD hindsight a wonderful thing...

We should’ve traded Sloane as a contracted 27 year old to St kilda in the last hours of trade week last year.. saints had picks 7 and 8.. we could’ve said you can have him for either pick 7 or 8 last year and your first round pick in 2018. At the time they would’ve been thinking they were certain to be top 8 this year so they probably would’ve jumped at it thinking Sloane would make them ever more certain for a 2018 finals position...

We’d have picked up fog at 7 or 8 and another great young player with pick 12 in last year’s draft.. and we’d have St Kilda’s pick this year which is currently pick 3 and likely to stay at pick 3.

And the saints would have an injured Sloane captaining from the sidelines...
