Very disappointing

We knew this season was going to be a roller coaster ride. Some weeks we are very good, some weeks we are very bad. I think Jarrod Waite's game tonight reflects where we are at. Over the last 3 weeks everything has come off for Waite. Tonight he has butchered the football. Patience is required.

Got some questions for people.

1. Game Plan: Pagan has pledged that we are supposedly playing 'attacking' footy, however the coaching staff have had Whitnall and Houlihan down back. Why? Why, when we know Whitnall can't play as well down there, and why, when we saw how well he has played up forward against the doggies? Same can be said about Houlihan, how plays so much better up forward, as was proven last week.

How are we playing attacking footy, if our team set up indicates that were have the mentality of defending the other team? Play Whitnall up forward, Play Houlihan up on the wing... let them 'defend' us while we 'attack. '

My opinion - we went inot the game wrong, with the wrong message - we had the mentality of defending, rather than letting our play dictate the game. Why when we can thrash a team like we did last week, and then change the set up of the team - it went from an attacking win, to a defending job. No need to change the mental message of the way we play, i would have thought.

2. Ackland - drop him? My thoughts are a game in the twos could give him a kick up the bum. We have been getting smashed in the hitouts and clearances. Frustrated me to see him on the bench - not even resting up forward.

3. What was the problem for this game, in your opinion?


Pagan spent the 3/4 huddle asking Kouta for advice for the last quarter.

I dont like bagging our own players but fair dinkum, every match i've seen ackland has been blown completly out of the water. He has no sense of whats around him when he actually manages to win a hit out and just in general seems to have no idea of how the games played.
