Is this game last years Geelong game? Could we go on a 3 game winning streak with a few players back? Its Bombers away and Richmond at home (then Bulldogs in Ballarat - vomit).

Or am I jumping the shark?

I think it comes down to the shit video.
The replay shows the touch as the ball
Is right on the back of the padding.
There wasn’t enough evidence to say it wasn’t touched in the frame before and hence couldn’t overturn it.
It’s a bullshit way to interpret it though. We’re denying a goal because there’s insufficient evidence demonstrating this thing we’re using to deny it.

I don’t think anyones ever accused the afl of being competent.

Got to say the umpiring favoured us in that last 10 mins, plenty of 50-50s that could have gone against us didn’t
Just repayment for the other 70mins of the game or whatever it is?

Not sure its that one sided either. I haven't got access to the replay but the last 5 minutes clip shows a weird arse free to Boak that I can't work out how he gets it. Then there's a massive blatant arm chop/hold against Himmelberg not paid. Then there's a lucky one for us with a Jones throw on the boundary missed. Then there's the 50:50 Murphy one.

It was to do with wanting to give some clean airtime to the AFLW game apparently
Which could easily have been achieved playing that game on Thursday night alongside Bulldogs vs Swans. Friday night is the Premier slot for football. The Showdown is one of the Premier matchups in the League. You don’t water that down by splitting audiences, and you sure as shit don’t do it in order to elevate Melbourne-Essendon to a level it simply doesn’t deserve.

Off the boot it was Port all the way.......swung back like some crazy assed amateur shank...hahaha!
Yes I agree Dawson was awesome. so much good from the night not sure where to start.

In the interview on ground after the game he used often used golf terminology, “you don’t draw pictures”. I really thought we wouldn’t see his best in our 22 until we started to get a fair bit better. But kid is all class and doesn’t need better players or system around him.

Still reliant on Boak.....lol. Hinkley will leave a list in a similar state to what Pyke did after our list cleanout with the stall development of Georgiadias, Butters, Rozee and Duursma since Pyke didn't play the youngsters.
Wont be helped by the fact Georgiadias will be back in Perth at West Coast 😂

Pardon the intrusion but Jordan Dawson is an absolute weapon. He is underdone and still killing it, what a luxury to have a guy that can play forward, wing and back!

I get that the outcome was umpires call. It was the wrong call though. It’s a goal unless it was touched before crossing the line. There’s either evidence there was or wasn’t. In the absence of that evidence it’s a goal.
I'd love to know how much sport some of these umpires have played. When you play tennis you get a good feel just from the flight of the ball where its going to land. I went to see some professionals and just sat in a random spot and watched the game and the umpires were calling all sorts of things wrong, the complaining players seemed right to me. So I went and sat on the lines at some tournaments with the top players and those umpires are useless with their calls (going back a decade or more) to the point I honestly have no idea how they could be that bad. I'm up in the stands, they're right near, the ball might be half on the line (ie in by miles) and they'll call out!! Its not even difficult.

That one last night might have just been touched by the time it was level with the padding but shouldn't it be while it was level with the line?? There was no way it was touched after it passed over the line.

That was clearly Berg's best game of his career - it was a better game than any Fogarty has ever had, in his 44 AFL games.

Both Gollant & Berg achieved more tonight than Fog has for the entire season to date. Heck, Berg's 2nd Q was better than Fog's entire season.

With Walker due back next week, it's an absolute no-brainer for the selectors when it comes to choosing who to drop. Fog was literally the worst player on the ground.
You see it so clear at the game that he doesn’t work hard enough. Our back ms get the ball and look up and he never offers a option. I have never knocked him or said anything bad about him but he’s not making it at Adelaide.
