Thats easy done
Marshall really!!! what did he actually do?? 4 goals, 1 was from a throw, another a free, 1 on a good lead , not sure on other one. No real contested marks.
Himmelberg at least too some contested marks, banged a great goal from 50m and kicked the 2 in the last 5 minutes to help win the game??

Oh well we won, who cares

He did kicked 5 but 3 of them were joe the goose, a 50m penalty and a crumb after Houston clearly pushed his opponent in the back and the other 2 were from lead marks..

Yes!
At first, I thought that the turn-and-bullet-kick was Dawson, because it looked so good.

Hinge and Dawson work well together, smooth movers, intelligent footballers and both have beautiful left-foot kicks. Let's set up a Cloud Fund and pay both of them to teach Keays (and others) how to kick like that...? :sneaky:
they are actually very similar players.. 2cm difference in height. both lazer like left footers with dawson‘s probably just a bit better.. both great overhead.. both tough as nails.. both move very smoothly through traffic and both very well balanced.

both pretty much get their hands the same amount of ball..

Dawson a bit over a year older and has a fair bit more experience.. if hinge improves his kicking and gets a heap more experience under his belt over the next year or two its not inconceivable that he could easily become just as good as Dawson..

Was this just a rare outing from Himmelberg or the start of something?
we’ll soon find out.. but probably wise not to hold your breath!..

he was bloody disappointing most of last year after having a good run of 6 pretty serviceable games in the final two months of 2020..

was garbage the last few weeks before having a blinder on friday night..

who knows what he’s gonna produce next..

Was his workrate that impressed me the most. There is no reason why he can't maintain that. Whilst he kicked 4 goals, it was the small things like the the tap back from the goal line to set-up Gollant for a goal.

Always thought he has the skills, but question mark over his mental side. Hopefully this game gives him confidence to continue the same workrate... as the rest will look after itself.

Fogarty would do well to watch back Berg's game as he needs to find this repeat effort to succeed.

Hinge's attitude in that first game last year when he did his shoulder multiple times, yet continued to give his all, sold me.

will also add that dawson‘s most definitely a hell of a lot fitter matchwise than hinge would be given hinge missed all of last season bar R1.

If Frampton’s kick is marked by Hinge does he play on? That it fell short meant he had to play on hence the ball gets down there quicker.
mind blow wow GIF

Frampton's galaxy Brain!!

Reckon so.

“We’re just steadying the ship; it’s a bit of a wobble but nothing serious. Need to you to offer a bit of encouragement, take a bit of pressure. She’ll come good. Thanks boys”

Lycett mentioned Ken had the full support of the players, the club & membership.

He obviously has never visited the Port Bigfooty board!

Just caught a watch of the game this afternoon. He looked to me to show a bit of proper forward craft - with his body and his leading.

Usually takes a while for the keys to get across their craft properly. That might give him a bit of confidence, the use of proper craft I mean - not just the goals if you get what I mean. 3 of 4 goals from craft worth much more than if he gets them from handpass over the top etc
