That stuff with the radio was hilarious. Looked like he wanted to go smash it.

Angry men, the Scotts :p.

Doesn't sound like he thinks they're done at all. Just rightly annoyed.

thats what i thought to.

not sure why that guy said 'he pretty much lost it'.

didnt even come close to 'losing it'...

I would hold off making such categorical statements until we're out of the finals.

The problem at the moment is just a lack of polish and dash. We've been cut up on the rebound, exacerbated by too many turnovers. This certainly is related to all the inexperienced guys we have in the team - individually, they all look to have plenty of potential, but altogether they do tend to make a few too many mistakes or else just simply get beaten in one-on-ones. The inclusion of Scarlett, Varcoe and Wojcinski can't come soon enough, and hopefully not much past that we will see Menzel become available. Those four will, I think, make as much more dangerous and that little bit more polished.

The problem is that we may have lost too many games by the time that happens, so I think Top 4 is just not in the question right now unless we suddenly find a gear and win a whole bunch on the trot. Top 8 should be close to certain, and then we will see what happens.

Although Wojo is my favourite cats player, I never had him as one of your most important. But with him and Varcoe out the team definitely lacks a heap of 'zip'.

There's still some players with decent pace, but there's less of the x-factor and dash that I love watching about Geelong.

They are no longer a realistic chance of winning the flag. Winning it from outside the top 4 will be almost impossible this year.

No, not impossible at all - far from it with all the parity this year. If the Cats make the finals, they are as good chance as ever. Saying that, I can't picture them winning anything this year.

Still early days.

I dont see how people could possibly compare this too previous years. They aren't the same, IIRC they have already lost the same amount as they won last year.

They will most probably finish between 5-8. Very hard to see them repeating, even though you cannot simply write them off. Rucking seems to be a problem. They can make it to the semis though.

It is extremely dangerous to write Geelong out of the top 4 or GF contention.

They are struggling compared to recent years but they know how to win in clutch situations and cannot be ignored just yet.

EVERY flag contender has questions hanging over them this year. Geelong have the experience to answer many of those.

On a side note, how much longer will Scott put up with Hunt shitting himself bare faced going for a contest? Not the first time he's done it

Back to the bay Bosk.

They went within a bee's privates of winning tonight. If Geelong aren't a threat, Collingwood aren't either imo. Neither of them played games up to their standard tonight.

8 games into the season and they've had some tough games. 4-4 isn't great, but it isn't terrible. They'll get into gear and play finals, and when they're there they are a very good finals unit and will trouble teams. Good teams, like the Hawks.

I think that a team that has been written off a few times yet has come back to win premierships is the definition of a threat.

I'm not saying they'll win the premiership, but I don't doubt they'll be thereabouts.

The Adelaide loss was far, far worse than tonight.
The last sentence is 100% correct but this loss hurt,s them much more you could see that from the reaction of the players and also the coach, this may to out to be their most important match of the season.

The Cats will struggle to beat both Carlton and Essendon and we were without 2 important rotations in the last qtr and Thomas 1st game in a month this was a huge loss make no mistake they really set themselves for this match.

The next match for the Cats is the Bulldogs coached by McCartney and he knows a bit about how they play,it is a massive match as the Dogs are a fast side who are playing ok.
