That kick was cheeky wasn't it? Not much in it though, there was no force behind it.

Look I'm just riled up from all these people whinging about the umps when it didn't really change the outcome of the match at all.

Keep telling yourself that. Hope it makes you feel better.

Great tough game of footy, well done to both teams. Geelong aren't playing great, but the difference tonight was they played pretty well for 3 quarters but crap in the last, and Freo played great footy but for only one quarter. You can't whine too much about the result if your players only manage to step it up in the last. If Freo had played 4 quarters (or even 2) like they played the last they would have easily won. I don't know how deep Geelong will run in the finals, but I'm loving tonight's result (oh, and the tears from all the whiners!)

Do yo really think you were the dominant team in the first half?

Exactly all teams get the rub of the green at home, be it in SA-VIC or WA.
Not us. Geelong had acquired the same amount of frees we received for the entire game by quarter time (14 ffs!) But at least it was 2 more than we received after being bent over by umpire leigh fisher last week (at home) where he awarded as many frees to the blues BY HIMSELF as we got for the whole 100 minutes.
Check your facts mate. West Coast Feebles usually get way more away/home/win/lose/draw. Very rare occasion we get the better of the ledger - we're used to it. Only thing is tonight it just got to laughable proportions. Not Cats problem but there is a real problem in that umpiring department that surfaced in a big way tonight. Anyone that watched that display without a biased slant would find it impossible to explain that lopsided display.

Better teams tend to do better in the free kick differentials. Hawthorn and Sydney lead this year. Cats are next in third place. Back in 2007 and 2008 Cats were absolutely romping it in with the frees for count , leading both years. Playing style might have something to do with it too. Back in 2008 Hawthorn was getting mauled by the umpires despite being a very good side that year. Maybe the cat's problem this year is that the umps have partly woken up to the diving and head ducking that their players have pioneered (and yes other teams do it now too - including the one I support).

Hawks are masters of the duck.

Well, then have a look at neutral supporters opinion about the game. Should be unbiased...

Didn't look like it last week.
Watching the game again now and Sandilands was gifted one early and blew it...stop whinging and start concentrating on the Hawks next week...i can only assume that Freo fans are frustrated with their team who look like blowing it again this year under Ross the boss Lyon...time is ticking away...

I really enjoyed that.

Great contest for a neutral which is all you want for a prime time game.

Entertaining to see Ross giggle like Bomber.

Fremantle don't have anything to do with this, there's no need be antagonistic towards them.

Not seeing anyone point out individual decisions that were incorrect, just simpletons who seem to think teams are entitled to similar free kick counts regardless of how undisciplined one team is..

There was some shitty umpiring, particularly in the first quarter, but most of the free kicks to Geelong were there. So many sloppy high tackles and marking contests by Freo.

There were actually so many incorrect decisions that they all blur together.
