We love Hardwick too.

He’s a likeable guy.

An Essendon immortal…and a tiger too.

Its amazing how the cats managed to avoid the cliff that West Coast and now Richmond have fallen off after success but it’s definitely coming.

Hawkins has gone on a year to long, Danger body is cooked. They are really held well together by Stewart and Jezza and when they are out or down on form they really struggle.

The back half outside of Stewart is just average they don’t really have any outstanding players down there and outside of Stengle there ain’t much else in the way of taking a game away from you.

The midfield has some young potential but seen it with a lot of clubs you can have a few of these young players look like they will be great players then it just falls away.

They have so many older players all still playing you would imagine within a couple of years they will lose Stanley Hawkins Danger Duncan Blicavs Kolo Tuohy and no matter what you say or think to prepare when you start losing these players it completely changes the fabric of the club. It’s such a hole to try and cover or repair.

Collingwood and Melbourne are going to face this same issue in the near future also with their list profiles it’s only natural.

Suns toyed with them like you'd toy with a cat by poking its paw pads. Gonna be a tough ask facing GWS next week.

Might help take the pressure off, not being rated and everyone betting against them allows them to play free flowing footy and not worry about expectations.

No Hawkins, Cameron, Dangerfield, Duncan, De Koning, Stanley, playing in conditions they've never played in before, against a team who have a good record in those conditions.
Cats still had about a dozen premiership players so score should’ve been a lot closer in any case.
Suns arguably missing Witts, Walter, Weller, Rosas, Rogers, Powell, Holman and Graham from their best 22, with Andrew injured mid-match.

Dimma still has it.
Always thankful for the flags Dimma but the guy completely and utterly changed and destroyed the fabric of the club he built up.

First off doing the dirty on the mrs that divided the club. Then taking off mid year saying he was cooked yet that was a complete lie. He knew he was taking the suns job.

Wish he had of just pulled the pin at the end of 22. Potentially have Kingsley running the show, not burning a good person in McQualter at the same time and literally ****ed over Tarranto and Hopper by selling them the dream when he wasn’t even going to be there.

Gee that's extremely rare in the modern game - a side scores 100 and loses by 64 points. When was the last game with a higher aggregate score than that?
So S.Hocking, if you want to increase scoring - simply turn the thermostat up to 30 degrees

CFL will find a way to prop them up again.

Were you the cooker on the Tigers board that said the Canadian fixture guy was conspiring against Richmond to hold you down?

You are my hero 💕

...and yes...we do have international co-conspirators to bring you down from the inside.
And only prop up the greatest team of all, the Geelong Gigachads. STPer18 can confirm!

It's a statement for the Suns and a great chance to prove themselves with some big away games coming up, along with the opportunity to protect their home deck against the likes of Collingwood.

For Geelong, there is definitely cause for concern: you could write it off as one of those days if it was following up from a win, or maybe one loss, but now that it's our third loss in a row, it's definitely time to ask some questions. The previous two were winnable, but we deserved to lose them. Prior to that, we'd pretty much dictated everything about how the previous seven games unfolded and had controlled those games on the scoreboard.

There is an element of "We're 7-3, we could well be back on track at 9-4 (or better) at the bye and we're still probably odds-on to feature in September." That's better than the vast majority expected us to do in 2024.

Still, looking at Hawkins and Guthrie over the past few weeks (I think it's time for a few senior players to be dropped, not managed), seeing practically the same midfield get their pants pulled down on the regular... it appears to be a fork in the road. And the people making the decisions have to be ahead of the armchair experts like me: "can we REALLY do anything this year?" If not, maybe it's time we see what a few of these players who consistently tear up the VFL can do, especially in the middle of the ground.

cats were clear favourites with punters

That blows my mind.

I never thought we'd win up there. I'd grant even money with relatively comparable 'outs', but even that would have been a great bet for the Suns. Even with Cameron, Dangerfield, Duncan, Hawkins and de Koning, I reckon they'd have done us up there.

I'm not a betting man, but usually have a glance at the odds out of interest. I would have been severely tempted if I'd taken a look and the Suns were $2 or more.
