Interesting Bit of History

West Coast have Never lost a Preliminary Final..Always went on to make the GF

Here's another interesting fact:

Joel Selwood hasn't lost a game against one (or more) of his brothers. (He was out suspended in Round 16, and Troy wasn't playing when the Lions beat us in 2009.)

West coast will win by 23 points , Geelong is overrated at Skilled this year they haven't beaten anyone good there.

Lucky we're playing at the MCG, where we're currently undefeated this season then, isn't it?

West Coast will be a bit flattened by that game. That was fair dinkum 4 quarters.

WCE needed the luck of Carlton playing crap and them cruising. Didn't get it.

Geelong by a lot at half time. Shut up shop by the last quarter - win by 30-40.

west coast by 25pts i think we playing better than we did last time we beat them

Last time we played, we had to travel across the country on a six day break during the middle of a heavy training load to play an Eagles side coming off the bye with no Hawkins, West, Mackie and Selwood, and only lost by eight points.

If you couldn't beat us by 25 points then, I can't see you beating a rested Geelong side with that quartet on this side of the country by that much now.

What does Skilled have to do with next week? It's being played at the MCG. Where unfortunately for you, we HAVE played quality opposition, and where we have not been beaten once all year.

I think we can

WC are going to get absolutely flogged from pillar to post next week, they tried their hardest tonight and that level of football is simply not good enough.

Geelong by 10 goals +

People can bring up stats, recent premierships and all the rest but none of it really bears any relevance.

Fact of the matter is we beat Geelong last time we played and anything can happen in a prelim.

Fact of the matter is that the last time GEE played WCE it was in Perth and Geelong were going through a heavy training load in preparation for september, along with having various outs. Do you reckon the WCE are going to beat a Geelong team in Victoria that is fit and peaking? I reckon Geelong are going to rip the WCE a new one.

There is nothing from tonight's game that suggests otherwise.

The game against Geelong earlier in the year is of no relevance whatsoever

Geelong would have loved seeing what happened tonight - both sides went a it hammer and tong, and have belted the living suitcase out of one another. There'll be a lot of sore Eagles at the 'G next Friday.

Congratulations!

Not only do you have excuses for the last loss, you also have an opinion.

Logic says Geelong. But Geelong don't worry me as much as the Blues did from a speed point of view, which is something we struggle with ...

They are tough and have a terrificly even midfield and obviously some handy forwards and they will likely beat us comfortably but if our rucks and Kerr have standout games we aren't without hope ...
