I knew this mate of mine was friends with the family so i messaged him to see if he knew anything and he confirmed, while also saying a lot of water has to go under the bridge first.
It was all unexpected so that is why he is considering his options
Dad died on return from wa, helping his son
Really sad
Wce will not screw him over, as this would be for he right reasons and they are fair
Few can understand what he is going through

Love the hate from some

Would be great if it comes to fruition, but extremely sad circumstances.

I feel for him and his family.

Is he capable of playing the role Scarlett plays currently, as in playing on small/medium forwards as well as the talls? Otherwise whatever the cost would be would not be worth it as neither Lonners or Harry can genuinely play smaller (Harry at a pinch but yeah nah).

He is more than capable of playing that role and is a little underrated in the Victorian media.

who are we talking about here, too many conversations for this old-timer to follow
too many idiots on this forum
his dad all of sudden - the guy is bloody human
there are too many tools in this thread at the moment

love how a wife who is grieving should lose her support network and head out west

the same idiots on this board wonder why people say nothing on this forum - bloody disgrace - and i urge the mods to delete the posts that lack sensitivity

the guy lost his dad, and now the typing heroes want to tell his mum how to lead her life

Hmmm all interesting. But is the club going to be willing to give up enough players and picks to get both? Might come down to only going for one of them. But which one?

boak will be a harder deal
wce will be fair - unlike some tools on this board

Yes. Schofield plays as the attacking 3rd tall partly because he's got the tools for it-speed, long kicking etc but mainly because it's best for their team balance i.e. Glass is a defensive gun, but lacks kicking ability/rebound etc, and similarly McKenzie is pretty good defensively but doesn't offer a lot on the rebound. I've seen Schofield play well on talls, but he plays even better as a more attacking defender. His combination of speed and mobility means he's good on talls or smalls, attacking or defensively. Which would be one of the appeals as he could slot straight in as the 3rd tall round 1 next year, but later on if you wanted to free Harry up for a more 3rd tall/attacking role (say an Enright type of role) he's quite capable as a genuine KPD.

That said it won't happen, we probably haven't got the picks if we are chasing Boak, and even if we do, at this stage in the premiership window WC are unlikely to want picks from us (unless they are very high), they will want a player who could slot straight into their 22, and we don't have the pieces to offer them in that regard (and the ones we do we wouldn't be willing to give up).

Spot on mate - im sure he wouldnt say the same about his own mother or family in a similar, terrible situation.

Show some bloody respect!!

You need to piss off and stop hanging sh*t on our champions dude or go follow another team that puts up with your kind of crap ;)

Im sensing a strong correlation between his lack of posts on the Cats board & the fact we are getting a lot more traffic from Pies supporters with the upcoming game.....

I could be wrong, but at an educated guess.....

Wretched news for the family , thoughts are with them.
Wills' mother was interviewed a few years ago when the Eagles culture was being questioned. She came across as a lovely lady , articulate and clearly intelligent and well versed on how her son was settling in at the Eagles.
I hope things work out well for the family.

They are a great family by all reports, really genuine and are quality people. I really feel for them to be honest.

I'm sure Will will make the best decision for himself and his family.

I had met Will's dad many times when I was younger at my mums work social club family days. He really seemed like a nice guy, very pleasant and was well respected by those in the office who worked under him. I hope for the best for their family. Will will choose what's best and I'm sure the WCE will help him and do the best for him whatever he decides.

Considering the lack of information or news (other than Rucci sprouting opinion pieces) might as well let the thread die until we all hear something one way or the other...likely at season's end.

, who have i hung shit on, saying bartel stuffed up big time is not offensive, saying i dont call him a true champion is not an offence, just an opinion, just like all the crap you keep spewing up, stop living in the past, no idea about reality.hes not my kid, i dont have unconditional love for him, he stuffed up, if we lose just, he will spew.

Hanging shit on someone IS an opinion.

Jimmy did have a rare stuff up, but who the hell are you to let that define him. I don't care about living in the past, Jimmy stands up time and time again. He is easily our best clutch player. If you don't appreciate that, then you need to pull your head out of your arse.

Take Jimmy out of our side over the past 6 years, and you have 3 less flags. Let's see another "fake champion" have the same impact.
