Been away on remote work so haven't kept up to date for the last day or two but are we under investigation?

Can the AFL do a Melbourne storm to us ?

Yeah, 2 hours after the presser, the NRL is ripping computers out of clubs.
6 hours later the AFL announces it is going to advertise for more staff.
They won't have trouble getting staff the que has started.

We are yes.
But so is every club in the AFL.
We have a slightly brighter spot light on us due to suspicion of association.

All show,I get the distinct feeling they would still be happy to do nothing VC there hand is being forced here IMO.
Mate, with all due respect. Bullshit.

The AFL have always been miles ahead in this area and now feel they are still behind the 8 ball.
Can you imagine what it would cost for the NRL to catch up to the AFL?

The big problem is no one seems to understand the 3 strikes policy. It's so far ahead of its time it's not funny. You watch.

The best thing about it is they are going to audit every club over their use of 'vitamins' and they are going to interview every club doctor over policies etc.

It's brilliant.

If we lose a flag over it, I'll live with it. Cheats are just that.

Meh I'm hoping we get 2008 handed to us lol

Live to dream but wouldn't feel like the cats have early it, doubt it'll happen anyways.

Just because our system is better than the NRLs means little, and I won't be supprised to see the 3 strike policy as it stands go.

As in all sports. The prize is null and void. Second doesn't get awarded.
I reckon we are squeaky clean. But I wouldn't put my neck on it.

Cheats dont wear spots

YPO, If I get done on match day with something in my system, what happens?

I'm with you. I think we're squeaky clean too. Was looking at old copies of the prospectus to see how much weight the players put on over the 2006-2007 off-season, and most players put on between 1-3 kg, with youngsters Varcoe and West putting on the most weight (7kg I think for Varcoe, which is understandable since it was pretty much his first pre-season, and West put on 12kg, which is understandable for a young ruckman). I put our improvement that year down to factors other people have suggested in this thread - a new game plan and the utilisation of Leading Teams over the pre-season, not to mention Chappy's bake after the North loss in Round 5, and the team meeting the players had after that game, when they decided to go back to basics and all bought in to the fact they could win the flag if everyone pulled their weight week in, week out.

I dont think any club will be squeaky clean-some players wil look at the money they get -the adulation -they get treated like super heroes. The clubs dont know what the players take in private -Brian Cook or any club CEO-wouldnt know if there were rogue players taking illegal substances in private -how would they

Can someone inform me about the 100 players involved quote -who actually said that

And what is the 3 strike policy?

VC, I would be very surprised if any layman had even a working knowledge of the policy.
This article, overlooked in all the Essendon hooha, certainly surprised me in a couple of respects - not only the players being stood down without the coaches knowing why, but the fact that positives don't count towards the 3 strikes if they occur while they are being treated. Not to mention, of course, the now well-known self-reporting provision.

Fair point but PED doesn't necessarily mean its used primarily for bulk. Can help a player fitness and running capacity without necessarily increasing the athetlics's weight.

Then again I'm not expert but that's my understanding of the multiple benefits of PED.
