Uncle Colin super busy past few weeks - doing the Welcome to Country at the Collingwood Best and Fairest tonight - just checking if he’s doing this one for free :p;)
Was smashing it out last night at the Geelong B&F as well. Was a pretty low key affair compared to last year. Was chatting to their head of commercial on the way out 700 less with us last night than last year's.

“Carlton’s Charlie Curnow was a difficult choice. He was named No. 1 player in the pre-season and for a time there he had a good grasp on that mantle. But three so-so finals hurt his standing. Not that being No. 8 is a slap in the face, but a better September would’ve had him closer to No. 1 than No. 10.”

That makes a lot of sense after Bont’s great finals series in which he killed the competition. Can see why Curnow wasn’t any closer to Number 1.

Not sure where to post this, but my avatar is on again in Ballarat on the 20/10 at 7am.

6th live MENtal Brekky, this year we have Tom Boyd as our Keynote speaker, come along if you can, $65 includes Brekky, Tom, me (I always talk it's my gig) door prizes, a silent auction and some grouse raffle prizes. Little Dirty will make an appearance too, so lock up your daughters!!!!

We've raised $250K, kept 20 boys in school when their dad's have been experiencing a mental health issue, half a dozen are now at Uni.....

It's in honour of our old mate Chris, who completed suicide in 2015, but there've been so many more, Frawley was in our year, and was to be our speaker the year his died. Suicide is the only completely preventable cause of death of the top twenty causes in Australia. How many of you know someone who has taken their own life? I'd confidently say well over half.......

The readers 50 is even worse

Josh daicos is 4th and Curnow is outside the top 20 😂

Out entire list could be included in the Top 50 and there'd still be complaints.
Are you saying they're not?

That’s not exactly unfair commentary on Charlie, it’s not like he fired a single shot in the finals & the best players find away to make an impact - he didn’t.
Don’t think you would find anyone more disappointed about his performances than Charlie, he usually steps up when all eyes are on him and we need him.

Honestly, I think he got soundly beaten by May, and it got in his head. Towards the end of the Melbourne game, he just gave up a few times; dropped his head, and let May go for a ball he might've been able to halve.

Our kicking inside 50 got markedly worse as well. It's not just him, but our connection inside 50 went from 'best it's been since 2011 if not even better' to 'Teague' after we beat Collingwood.

What they fail to realise is that Charlie had a huge season and was cooked by the time finals came around and he'd finished chasing the coleman. Harry missing games didn't help either.

McCartin also beat him in EF
