Seems like not many within the industry rate Collingwood. I thought it was just me.

remember the week before the PFs.He is the type that easily offends some I get that...but to your points:
The difference between any of the top 5-6 teams in teh competition in this year's finals was a toss of the coin and having two games at home with a week off given the injury situation of Melbourne and Carlton in particular - was the difference in who played in the GF. GWS were very unlucky against Collingwood - Carlton just ran out of legs at the Gabba Adelaide shoulda been in ...etc etc
So that is how I saw the finals...
as for May (IMO) he was BOG for them in their matches.
He may be a 'whatever' but he can football and I respect his "never beaten just lost and see you next time attitude"
Nobody with any clue was saying we'd play the first prelim.remember the week before the PFs.
Everybody was saying we'd play our PF on Friday, the other winner on Saturday.
All of a sudden it was Pies v GWS first up on Friday (giving GWS a 6 day only turnaround and then, if Pies won, an extra day's rest before the GF).
Would say they all know why. He and his defenders did their jobs, kicking 60 points a game isn't conducive to ultimate success.Player to player on the team sheet, you could comfortably argue Dees are the most this and that. But talent alone don’t win premierships. May should instead be asking why aren’t they competing for and winning more premierships.

THE AFL has floated with clubs a Sydney-focused split round to begin the 2024 season, which would see both the Giants and the Swans hosting blockbuster standalone fixtures across an earlier weekend of action.
It's understood the proposed round one fixture, which was distributed to clubs last week but is not final, would feature Greater Western Sydney kicking off the 2024 season against Collingwood on a Saturday night before Sydney plays Melbourne on the Sunday afternoon.
Every other club's season-openers would then be played the following weekend and would likely feature Carlton's annual Thursday night clash against Richmond at the MCG
Just the AFL with the blinkers on again … looking to exploit the lack of NRL in Sydney that weekend.
A regular weekend for the NRL … not sure why they need to go halfway round the world. They’re all over in Vegas with blow, hookers and a Tim Tszyu boxing match aren’t they?

This is 100% why they've done it. Every year when that weekend is footy free in Sydney it gets raised.Just the AFL with the blinkers on again … looking to exploit the lack of NRL in Sydney that weekend.
