The former Lion that Dev is similar to in regard to the bolded is Nick Robertson, I remember posting that exact thing about Nick, unfortunately Nick was never able to fix it, hopefully Dev can.
It's not a bad comparison. Robbo would often do the hard stuff and shank the kick.

He seems a smart enough guy who works really hard so he can sort it out.

At present he's looking for any Lions jumper and off it goes in the general direction.

Apart from that his attack on the contest and the pressure he applied to opponents was outstanding.

They haven’t announced the time yet but my guess would be around 3:30PM.
That would be a great time, quick lunch after the parade and we have San Telmo booked for dinner that night.

Friday's timetable is set:D, I can not wait to get there, I'll probably make a 1000 posts on big footy this week alone.

I said this on another thread but Dev never looks for options when he kicks the ball in traffic
He needs to mature as most juniors have the same problem and he has played multiple seasons
Merely laying tackles is not enough
He played a role for the team that no body else in the group can play.
He keeps his spot for the Grand Final without doubt.

I hate Collingwood with every bone in my body and I don’t think I could honestly handle a GF loss to them. That being said I’ve never been more confident in my life! LETS GO LIONS!
Collingwood have never beaten us in a GF.

HOODOO!!!!!

This.

Dev offers his courage, hard running, bumping and attack on the footy. He’s getting better and better with each game.

His slam into Cripps was absolutely Voss like and won us that contest. He will get his chance to get big number games, but right now hes doing the Mitch Robboesque game of being an enforcer and absolutely thriving on it!

Dev was a battering ram last night

Robbo also spent a decent chunk of time covering Cripps while Dunkley was resting on the bench. Having a few guys with defensive capabilities around the ball is what has balanced our midfield and gotten us to a grand final.
We also have Jarrod Berry up our sleeve, he has proven he can also do it in crunch moments in big games.

Great result just need one more big effort.

Pies look vulnerable. Dont listen to those Vic bias media flogs.

Lions have a big advantage with talls, especially forward. Pendlebury names chb? After Moore their talls down back simply arent tall enough. Also just lost McStay to an unfortunate knee injury.

Good luck next Sat. Lions just got another 5 million fans for a week.

I love you all! We have made it. Let’s enjoy the week and go in confident. Why not!? This is it for season 2023 anyway, may as well back them in! I think the boys mentally will feel less pressure than they did heading into the prelim. We have got the monkey off the back now by making it to the big dance. The media will froth over the Pies all week and they will be the heavy favourites. We can go into the match knowing we can beat them and just give it a red hot crack!

Daniher and Rayner to absolutely dominate the big stage, lock it in!

IMO the Pies bring Adams in for McStay and throw Howe forward for some height... if Payne doesn't come back in how do we see the match ups going for our back 6?

Andrews > Cameron/Cox.
Lester > Mihocek.
Starcevich > Elliott.
Wilmot > Hill.
Gardiner > Howe.
McKenna/Coleman > the rest.
I don’t think Adams will get up but I hope they name him. Adams and Daicos both carrying injuries in that case. Recipe for disaster.

Excuse the intrusion. You're a better football side than the pies. If you play anywhere near to your potential I see you getting it done comfortably.

Neale for the Norm Smith. One of my favourite players. He was awesome in the last quarter last night.

Would love to see the smile on Fagan's face if you win.

Hope the umpiring isn't too ridiculous.

Hope you smash 'em. Go Lions

I hope we can wear our home Maroons gig.
There is no clash so I can’t see why not?
I believe we wear our home jumper for the grand final.

Part of me would love to see the red jumper at the granny, but maroon against the pies feels right.

Just in case we dont get tickets for the granny in the ballot if anyone finds out where they may have a place in melbourne where all the lions supporters can watch the grand final together ( if they have one) please post where it will be. Cheers and all the best for the exciting week ahead everyone.

Yes on Virgin, might even see you in the terminal, I'll be with my son, daughter, daughter in law and brother..... I'll be the bald, skinny, wrinkly old bugger in Lions paraphernalia.
Awesome I’ll see you there with my Elderly Mother.
I am pretty sure I have seen you at training before, we haven’t spoken though.
