Danger and Kelly break lines with pace Dunc is slow and with the loss of Kelly we are going to be in a little bit of trouble having to rely on defensive rebound
Narkle is quick. Cocky could use being slower. Atkins isn't a slug. Guthrie is quick.

It is a great point about speed though. Tigers are ballistically quick compared to us.

Most of our pace in backline or forward pockets we need to add extra pace into the half forward line Dalhaus, Ablett, Mengola and Parfitt are the issue, we can only afford to carry two of them

Hence I don't see a spot for Ablett, Taylor, and Menegola. I think changing those spots up quickens us up a great deal.

You could see teams looking at a Hawkins or Taylor and knowing they could run and bounce off them. The way Collingwood switched play on us was abusing our lack of 22 players that apply pressure. Can't carry too many.

Such an important trade period for us as were about to lose one of our best players and our best player under 26.

TK is a huge loss, his skill to cleanly extract the footy at pace in contested situations and deliver to a team mate whilst also kicking goals is huge.

West coasts picks are avg and not good enough as they are today. We need to force West Coast to get off their ass a d turn their hand into 2 higher picks (1 single digit).

I hope we do well, I hate reading that we’re about to lose Kelly for a bunch of chips, with a fat 30 year old Steven and 31 year old Jenkins (who isn’t good enough to make Adelaide’s team) on their way to us. That surely won’t happen..

Carlton will give pick 9 for Papley and a future 1st for Martin.

Can't believe Sydney will get a better pick for Papley than Geelong will for Kelly.
It will be a long an winding trail.. there are a few options out there for WC. Trade a player...try to split picks... Sydney will probably try to trade 5 & 30 odd for Daniher... Esswill want more... so maybe the 8 gets split.. I still struggle to see us getting inside the top10 with WC..but we may get 3 inside 10-25..
I think GC will trade picks for Crouch too

I think it will be better than that... lets put aside the plus 30 players atm those mentioned will not cost much. It who we grasp for instead of using what we get in draft. Would it surprise to see us trade an R1 for Wood at NMelb? CE's post was insightful and probably nail on head for how the club feels.. they will try to look at 24-28 yo old players at some stage.

To me next year is the time to do that ..get a big Free Hit. The rules will get changed soon. The moaning has not started yet but it will... just wait till Rich (for eg.) pull in another FA player.... they will look at restricting top teams getting FA's somehow.

Current draft order has WCE's first two picks are 14 & 24 , while Freo's are 7 & 26. These might be the best we can get for Kelly.

Freo will add picks for Hill and Langdon... they also have players that could satisfy.

And dont forget 14 ..could easily be 16-18 with bids and FA's

He averages more touches and fewer clangers than Kelly and Danger and then only half a clanger more than the likes of Selwood and Duncan.

We can bypass all the bulls**t development that may not work out and get 2 readymade ball magnets.
Constable would be appealing to the Crows if we are interested in Crouch. Constable and 22 for Crouch is probably something they would consider. 16 for Laird.

Id love to know speed across the comp... not just one our list.. its no good being the quickest sumo wrestler.. we need speed..

Im sure the club would do that... they would probably throw in a SA kid or two we have.. but would the crows takes that ? I think Crouch will land in the GC... they will offer Luk to get it done

I don't think we can get Brad Crouch.
His contract demands seem way too high, he wants $1m per season over 5.
And no doubt if we did agree to the terms his leg would fall off and he would spend a chunk of time in rehab
