WARNING TO ALL VISITORS TO THE GEELONG BOARD. You are - for the most part - welcome to discuss the current list management & trading situation at Geelong. However, this is our board, so be respectful of the home board posters & don't inflame arguments (make your points succinctly and move on). And if you're just here to troll, then don't bother or you will be enjoying a holiday

I the 2019 Prelim Kolo played on Riewoldt and kept him Goaless.
And played on Darling the week before - I know Darling kicked 3 goals but it didn't feel like Darling was the dominant player in that matchup

This is how Fox Footy rated both their games:
27. Jack Darling
Kicked West Coast’s first goal 19 minutes into the game but also dropped an array of marks early as well. Still kept himself in the game, finishing with three goals and five marks (four contested). 7

8. Jake Kolodjashnij
Started the game on Jack Darling. After a tough game against the Pies, started strong with a couple of intercept marks and was reliable down back. Took six marks. 7

I thought that Jake's first game this season, against the Demons, was one of his best and he ultimately played as more of a key defender than we normally get to see from him; Taylor was managed for that match & Stewart went off at like quarter time with the broken collarbone. I think it was one of the best games this season from both Kolodjashnij & Blicavs as they actually played as KPD and both seemed really comfortable in that role

We had to lose caddy coz we needed salary cap relief. We thought we’d get rid of Motlop but there were no takers.

Clark is not on a high salary and we don’t have the same TPP issues.

Clark is our best young prospect and the only reason he’s mentioned in the media is because

1. He’s from interstate
2. He’s a good player and journalists are baffled why he only played 3 games so he must have itchy feet and be frustrated
3. Said journalists too lazy to look into it and see he was injured a lot of the yr
4. Obviously WA clubs would want him, free has the better pick so yeh dockers super keen

Nothing from Clark or Geelong that he’s unhappy or wanting to leave.

The other thing they continually mention in articles is how much Clark likes being Geelong and that he wants to stay; then they go into BUT...

The articles feel rather contradictory at times

I don't want to lose Clark. His 2019 was as good as Duncan's first season. But I am resigned to the fact if we have to trade to get Cameron we are going to lose someone we value. If Wells can do it for less, he ought to be knighted.

When we snared Ottens nobody wanted to see Brent Moloney go

My username can confirm this. Lol

I dont mind Higgins he is a gun but 2 years max for me i reckon.

One thing i do like is how clean he is especially inside 50, these highlights show that pretty well.

Agree 2 years .
But we offered 3 to get it over the line.

Good ball user.
Would rather him last time we went sniffing .

Saying one of the best clearance getters the game has seen, should be in the middle for clearances, is a bad assumption?

When I say he should be mid/forward not forward/mid, I mean he simply plays at bounces to try and win the clearance and then play forward the rest of the time. Instead of simply starting forward.

I'd rather see him win the ball and ack it forward for a stoppage in our F50 and then move forward than lose it and he doesn't get anywhere near it until we get it all the way back to him.

Well why do we consistently perform terribly with him in the middle in finals and do much better with him up forward? Even on Saturday he played midfield in the last quarter and we got smashed in there. How much more evidence do we need that our midfield works better with him not in it in big games?

Pretty bad case of asthma it seems.
