WARNING TO ALL VISITORS TO THE GEELONG BOARD. You are - for the most part - welcome to discuss the current list management & trading situation at Geelong. However, this is our board, so be respectful of the home board posters & don't inflame arguments (make your points succinctly and move on). And if you're just here to troll, then don't bother or you will be enjoying a holiday

Are we chasing the wrong Higgins? It appears the Tigers have told Jack Higgins he may be traded - great pressure and good goal kicking - and 12 years younger !!!
I mentioned this several weeks back. Jack is mates with the son of a good friend, and he (Jack) says he realised midway through the season that his opportunities at Richmond were drying up and that it would be in his interests to start looking. Sounds like it could be official now? What would he be worth?

Snags has good goal sence would like him.
Unsure if hes contracted tho.

Yep, I'd live to have him.
Jack Higgins is 21.

His current GF seems a handful! :)

But more concerning still is that he has had at least two bleeds on his brain, and surgery to try and repair what is a genetic condition.

He has missed a bit of footy b/c of it as well.

Nasty stuff for a very young man, and would have to be a concern regarding a long term footy career.

Jack Higgins is SUCH a better option to Shaun.

12 years younger, closer to what we need in the short medium and long term!

Not only fantastic pressure but a much better goal sneak than to what we have! Actually kicks goals and has mercurial X factor.

WTF is this 3 years crap to Shaun Higgins the 33 yr old. Vomit. Club has lost it if true

AFL.com.au understands 202cm Paul Tsapatolis, who last year won gold for Australia on the world stage, has met with both the Crows and Cats over an AFL switch.

The 18-year-old's athleticism has impressed a number of clubs in recent trials with his decision expected to come down to two when AFL list sizes are soon confirmed.

Having not played football for at least three years, Tsapatolis is eligible to join as a Category B rookie where his contract would be paid outside the salary cap.

While clubs await finalisation on the breakdown of lists for 2021, most are forging ahead in the strong likelihood of having multiple Category B positions at their disposal.

Tsapatolis, who has Greek heritage, has captained Vic Metro's underage basketball sides in recent seasons and represented Australia at FIBA Oceania (2019) and Asia (2018) tournaments.

Winning gold at both events, the centre was also named as an All-Star five at the Oceania championships.

He played at the 2018 tournament alongside Melbourne ruckman Luke Jackson and Collingwood midfielder Jay Rantall who were selected in last year's NAB AFL Draft after committing to football.

Tsapatolis last played football for the Yarraville Seddon Eagles in 2015 as a 13-year-old.

Geelong are looking for a developing big man to add to their ruck stocks behind Rhys Stanley, Darcy Fort and Esava Ratugolea after delisting two ruckmen last year.

The Cats are currently using two of their three Category B rookie positions for Irishman Stefan Okunbor and Next Generation Academy graduate Blake Schlensog.

Making room for him maybe?

I know they're both contracted for next year but was is the likelyhood we cut ties with Steven and Jenkins? As we all expected they've both been failures at the Cats. I'm not sure I'm ok with the idea of giving either of them games over younger players like Krueger or Constable. Sure maybe the old boys are marginally better footballers right now but it bodes terribly for our future.

Probably unlikely. They're both being paid by their former clubs so I see no reason to cut them.

?

He's an undrafted player who was a cat b rookie.

Surely, you can't be that hyped on him.

Im disappointed for the kids that get the axe after the year that this year was... and he was always a long term development type. If he gets replaced with someone who was similar to him when he started ..then its just wasting the development years we have put into him
