Carl will be all over trying to do something like 7 and 27 for our 13, 15 now I’d say so they can flick 15 off for Saad and still keep a 1st round pick.

Would leave us with 7, 11 and 27.

do we want 27... Id prefer a future pick... but I guess Wells like those late 20 somethings ..he will have someone in mind. Think what we have found with later picks than that ..with players in our best22

Still think we need to trade into the top 10. I don’t think wells does anything special with teen picks. He’s been great with middle or late picks but we’ve lacked elite young talent due to being starved for single digit picks.

I’d try bundle 13 with a R2 for a top 10. Or try trade up with a club that needs points.
Carlton will be knocking if they have signed Saad.

7 and 27 for 13 and 16? Don't think I'd accept that.
Especially as we have pick 11. It’s 5 live spots for sacrificing another first rounder. Not a terrible trade but like you I’d baulk in this environment.

Make the GF and that last pick becomes 18 or 19 then I don’t reckon they’d do it as we’d be keen. 13 & 18 for 7 and 27.

It stacks up on points but who knows after all the bids happens. If it mean we had a chance into a TThorpe or Phillips etc id probably do it ..or id be a hypocrite after calling for single figure picks for so long.

I’d do it if they gave us say a Future R2 as well. Still a good deal for them.

We could then try bundle 27 + 33 + what we get for cocky/Constable etc. to trade for say, WB pick 12. This gives them a points upgrade by a few hundred depending on what we get for outgoing players.

Leaves us with 7, 11, 12 and future R2. We wouldn’t use the R3 or so picks we get for outgoing players anyway

I cannot stress this enough.
He hates Geelong more than anything.
Includes the entire town, he will never play for GFC

Even if his hatred for the region wasn't at colossal levels, I very much hope that the Cats would be playing the following card in 2020 List Monopoly when it comes to Devon.

Go to the draft. Go directly to the draft.
Do not pass up the opportunity to select multiple young prospects.
Do not collect more seasoned players who won't really help you build towards a premiership.
