Don't forget in-draft pick swaps.Giving up 18 now takes away our ability to take Henry in the ND if Collingwood stand their ground. Guess that was never on the table then.
Let's just say he is given short thrift in the recruiting circles.Yes I think that's exactly what Mackie will do.
What's concerning is someone like Rendell even being employed in these roles to begin with given his history.
IIRC he even called Ollie Dempsey a key position player. Poor researching and attention to detail too.
But as we know, the standards and expectations of those working in various footy media roles are very low.
Nakia Cockatoo. A bloke I went to school with although didn’t actually know.Top10 Pick? I think you mean Clarke and he was 15
Not after the Cameron deal I wouldn't!Should we ask GWS if we're difficult to deal with?
No it doesn't. Luke Ball lasted till pick 30 in 2009 for Collingwood to take. There's basically 0 chance of it getting to that but we could work out a way to get a pick in the mid 20s to take him if needed. Could even be done live if necessary. Nobody is touching a guy that walks out on another club after 2 years with a top 30 pick.Giving up 18 now takes away our ability to take Henry in the ND if Collingwood stand their ground. Guess that was never on the table then.
Pick 18 > Bruhn + something back from GWS or will it be straight swap
I am in full agreement of your premise to protect whatever picks we have next year. But a top 7 pick is so valuable to us (comes once every 16 years!!) so I would not like to split it. If you could swap it for a similar pick next year I would. But if we can’t I would take the 7th best this year.I am going against everyone, I want Bruhn and Henry with our picks this year, i think this is a crap draft so split pick 7 save next years picks
