Ollie isn't too happy with the culture at the Pies. Even If a trade can't be reached - which I think it will - I'd be surprised if he went back there.

Like I said yesterday ... One too many flogs.

Probably comes down to Clark or McKenzie. I’d say that Hawthorn will be unlikely to take Clark as they have similar types already and would be concerned with Clark wanting to “go home”. Think we get our man.

If the club really wants Clark then I hope we get him, but if Hawthorn risk the flight to the Cats down the track, McKenzie looks a fine option on what I have seen of him

I'd prefer Clark but we can't go wrong with McKenzie.

We'll pick up a good long term prospect regardless.

Would personally be happy with either. Watched live McKenzie kick a sensational goal in the APS GF this year. He has some serious talent.

Something something Ginnivan...something something De Goey... :tearsofjoy:

Reckon we are any chance of trading up to 5?
No idea about that mate.

My opinion is we're more likely to bundle up picks for something higher than 38... Either for this year or next. That'll be used on Henry.

Pretty much Wardlaw, Cadman, Phillipou & Hewitt any one of those four you'd be laughing.

I think after this year ..id be very careful about picking some one ripe for the picking in two years time. The other 17 clubs would rock back and lite up, and have a short glass of 18 yo and smile at us being raided.

Is that the pisstake Cleary account or the real one? I ask because it seems hilarious that Ned Guy is the head of the AFL's "player movement" after his ineptness at Collingwood forced the movement of Treloar to the Dogs!!!
Real one.

I hope we keep one list spot open for the mid-season draft. That's a pick that I think ought to be used purely for the 2023 flag attempt. Hold it in reserve and then identify exactly what we need for the pointy end of the year.

If we cop some injuries to, say, key defenders then that's who we recruit. If not, an experienced veteran who can work with the VFL kids, help accelerate their development, help the VFL make the finals, and possibly cover later injuries in the seniors.

If Esava wants to go, I say swap him for a future draft pick. That will leave us with the extra list spot in reserve.

Also probably meeting with Cameron and GC today as well, and getting it all signed off by the AFL. I reckon then we hear from him after all that's done, to talk about the deals and the players and all that happy jazz, haha

Sounds like they are busy sorting out the financials for Bowes new smoothed out contract. Once thats done then we will work on sav and pick swaps etc to then get the pick needed to trade for henry.
Hopefully we hear from mackie about the plan for that once the bowes deal is done.

If it's got that little blue tick next to his name it's the real thing.

I honestly have been going over this scenario in my head, haha. Something like GC keep 7 and we get 5, a Future second and Bowes, but hand over our Future 1st - which is very valuable to them.

More likely it doesn't happen though and we just get Pick 7 and try and trade up on the night with GC then (to get ahead of the Hawks).

No it's the real one and Ned Guy really does work for the afl now (surprises me too)
