If they delist/re-rookie Sam Simpson... might be a tactic to delist him just before the draft? that way it gives less time for other clubs to enquire and do their due diligence...

When do list spots need to be finalised? eg all delistings must be completed?

If Geelong want to delist/re rookie Simpson, I don’t think any other club would step in, as his concussion issues are too much of a risk.

I have to say my first reaction to the commentary on Phillipou's character was that it was somewhat unfair on a 17 year old.

As I said earlier, in the clip I saw, the kid seemed fine and we all know that with a little maturity, arrogance can give way to self confidence, and I have no problem with that.

I would ask now that we step back from this character reference and await the draft when this "issue" may well prove to be irrelevant to the Geelong faithful.

The way you attack people without direct provocation is what's embarassing.

You really need to learn the difference between having a go at someone and having a go at their behaviour on here. Your behaviour shows you take things very personally but it doesn't mean you are right to do so. Read the post and even if it triggers you unless it is having a go at you as a person rather than the behaviour you have exhibited maybe tone the victim claiming down a little.

From a duty of care pov, the afl should stop dragging this out. VCE exams end on the 16/11/22 it'd be healthiest to get it over ASAP.

Only have to look at the extremely unsavory thread on the MB concerning Jason Horne-Francis (still only 19) to see how potentially damaging this kind of stuff can quickly become. Mods conspicuously absent from that thread too, which is disappointing.

The concern is that being assured of a spot in the AFL some kids might lose motivation to study as hard.

Future 1st can't be traded unless we get a Future 2nd, 3rd and 4th alongside it (given trading rules and the fact we already traded our second, third, and forth picks out). Pretty much impossible to see that happening - especially given the lengths we went to, to make sure we maintained a 1st for next year.

There are very sensible and courteous posting guidelines that have governed this site for a long time.
Most posters understand these guidelines and abide by them - as a result we generally have respectful exchanges on most topics from most posters.

As one of the older brigade who realises nobody wins a fight on the internet can I suggest you acquaint yourself with said guidelines?

Richmond have seen what we did with Stengle.

Got a brother in law who is hardcore Richmond.

The other day he reeled off a bunch of things straight off the top of his head that Stack had done (and there was a.... stack lol).

He has a completely unprofessional attitude and is a very loose canon when given any wiggle room.

Stengle is a nice kid that just made some mistakes... I'm not sure it's the same deal with Stack.

P.S Stack's VFL form was average at best aswell... HARD PASS!

Had a read through the rumours on the main board. Some of this info may be old news to some/most of you. Summary below (and take all of these with a grain of salt):

• we are very keen on the other Davey brother (Jayden), apparently met with him three times
• we are ‘wedded’ to Jhye Clark, but so are Hawthorn with p6
• Sydney really keen on Humphrey and willing to trade 2x firsts to move up the order
• clubs are wary of taking Tsatas given his recent comments about wanting to stay in VIC, if North and Essendon don’t take him, some suspect Hawks and Geelong will both overlook him too, and he could slide to St Kilda at p9

Jayden would be a late pick at best ie 58 would be our bid and they will match.
I can believe the sydney one as humphrey is a swans style player but i think he goes top 6 and i dont think say gc or essendon will trade their pick for 14 and 17 so i dont think the swans can get it done.

I stand by my gut that clark is our no1 choice at 7 and busslinger might be our 2nd option.
I agree on tsatas i reckon we would pass..what would be interesting is if hes on the board at 7 whether another melb club gets on the phone and makes us an offer to gazump st kilda and get tsatas..for eg melb might put 13 and one of their future 1sts on the table, dogs might do a similar type of deal for 7..maybe we would be open to trading back for such a deal.
