Could we still be considering Mullin as a Cat B, or maybe he's still on the list and we're just seeing if he wants to commit for 2023 or not - if he does commit it would mean we only had the 1 open spot which would then make some sense in opening that up for Clohesy if we believe he'll make it through the ND

Really was pumped about Mullin... and then obviously disappointed when he switched up on us.

He just looks like the kind of player that would be a very good fast running defender if he came across and got cracking at it.

Super talented, powerful, fast, and strong for sure.

Fingers crossed he gets to us soon... It would be a real bonus.

I have my pet theory on vaccination requirements but I could be way off

If we don't have a second cat b to bring in then the only reason I can think of to have dropped Tsap would be attitude

Really hard to gauge from outside. I think the lack of versatility hurt him. We need to be looking at another Blitz type. He is not getting any younger

Reality is there aren't any Blitz types. He's one of a kind

Yes and no. The likelihood of getting someone like a selwood or a hawkins or a blitz is unlikely but one can still look for types. Considering what Blitz is ... a 199ish super flexible tall that has a huge motor and good over head. Id think there are players that one can spot that can be that ...just not blitz of course

Not saying this kid but this type. He had good time for 20M and his vertical jump

Herald sun just did their first phantom with “latest club intel”

Essendon to shape the top 10 with Tsatas, Phillipou and Gibney in the mix. They went with Tsatas.

We were pretty much the only club that got no other alternative selections/players but Jhye Clark. It’s like people want to save energy or word space.

Busslinger looks like a top 10 for sure the closer it gets. He’s invited to draft night. HS had him going 9 straight after our pick. Also said Saints would look there as well with the pick after. If Clark was gone given our need for key defenders you’d think that Busslinger was the next up for us.

WB winning the hearts and minds of Bigfooty with Phillipou and George.

They had WCE overlooking Hewitt 3 times and no club in the top 25 picking him. People that watch the highlight packages won’t cop that.

They had a Cowen much higher than most at #15.

For what it’s worth I’ve also heard we have interviewed Charlie Clake and James Van Es multiple times. Not sure how we’d get Clark with our picks but Van Es looks a decent type albeit from a 2 min highlight package

Don't go needs-based inside top 10.

Why not. It’s becoming pretty clear Busslinger is going to land at least btw 7-11. Hardly a reach. There may be no gap there at all. He looks a special player with truckloads of upside. If you’re splitting hairs than absolutely that plays a factor.

I may be misinformed, but I understand Busslinger is quite advanced physically at this stage.....I am pretty surprised Hewitt isn't considered worth a top 20 choice...a kid who gets the footy and delivers beautifully on both sides of his body, but there you go.

The narrative for Geelong is Clark...Clark..and then Clark......given Wells' history that probably means we pick someone else..:)

Are you able to post the article?

Is it time yet

This is boring

Id like the draft to be done after the trade period...maybe even within the draft period... I doubt it will happen but it would add a bit more interest to the lead up to the draft. It seems we are just withing for no reason at all for most of Nov

With the soft cap cuts clubs are less likely to spend $ developing kids they think wont make it even if its a vacant cat b list spot.

Clark will go where we dont have a pick (ie late r1/early 20s).
Van es might get through to pick 58 for us.
