Pick 7 is to bring Clark in and that is the absolute priority and #1 aim. Trust me on that.

Now does that mean it happens? - no it doesn't. But that is Plan A.
Surely we would be trying to get #5 of GC (after they get it for Rankin).

If GC wants Clark, clearly they ain't gonna be down with that though.

I won't be shocked if we pull some moves to get it or maybe have a deal ready to go on draft night IF Clark is avail when that pick comes around (assuming GC is happy to select someone else).

Will end up pick 6 though... Will Clark last that long??> Maybe, but the clubs are really good at working that stuff out.

It's kind of funny. I get the same kind of feeling reading about possible trade deals with possible massive salaries etc, as I did watching the Grand Final. During the game, I was constantly worrying about when the penny will drop and Sydney will start their ferocious fight back. First break, here is comes - nope, 3Q surely they're coming - nada. :)
I keep fearing what will happen if we take on one of those giant contracts, or recklessly trade away all our picks, and then we'd be screwed like those other clubs. So far, so good. :thumbsupv1:
Elite performance on and off the field.

With Ratagolea seemingly leaving it seems possible we could secure Bowes, Bruhn and Henry for 18, 38 and whatever we received back for Ratagolea without using our F1. Clearly upgrading our host of other picks will also occur to facilitate it as well.

I reckon no it will still cost our future 1st. Sav isnt worth more than a late 2nd/early 3rd even under contract
Ideally it looks like
18-henry
Bruhn-fr1 with fr3 back
Future 2nd-bowes
38 or 48 and sav-future 2nd (which is needed for us to trade our fr1 and fr2)

But port they cant trade their FR2 (as their FR1 will go on jhf).
So that probably needs 3 clubs to get it done?

Ie the 3rd club provides the future 2nd needed to make it work and gets back our 48/55/58 that we wont use.

If Sav is traded and we get our trade targets will we have 2 or 3 selections available in the National Draft?

2. (Unless we delist simpson also then 3)

That is totally incorrect and any assertion that Geelong players get house and land packages is egregious, outrageous and preposterous.

The players wives, partners and family members. Well that's a separate line of investigation for our nuffy friend Lachlan.
Thank you Jackie....

He won't go unless we get something we are ok with. He still has a year on his contract and as such Geelong do not need anything other than what fits with what we are trying to do. We don't need any late picks this year for example. Perhaps a F3 next year but that would be about it.

We need an F2 next year so our fr2 can go bowes and our fr1 bruhn.
But port are in a pickle thanks to jhf. But we need a future 2nd in the sav deal or from elsewhere.

Given he's played a grand total of 12 games (as a 19 year old) I'd expect nothing less.

193cm frame, good left boot on him. Perfect moneyball acquisition he will cost nothing and has potential.
He'll be playing SANFL next year. He's delist material.

I think it's just posturing so we can try setting a future 2nd back here or there

Maybe. I personally see TDK as a KPF/Ruck in an Ottens type role. And I honestly think the club might see the same thing with him.

I was trying to get my head around a deal that would work. It really comes down to what you value Bruhn at? That may be the sticking point between the 2 clubs. If push comes to shove I'd say that both first rounders will be used.
