We can’t trade our future 2nd if we trade our future 1st.
...that's why we'd be trying to get a Future 2nd from Port to on trade it...

Let’s go all in. 5 year contract to Boaky with one year as player. He deserves a premiershipThen they need to conjure up a way to get us something we can use. We won't just let him walk
Neale is way ahead of Sav for the FF role IMO and its not close.
Totally understand Esava wanting more game time guarantees, but I’ll miss the big fella if he goes.
Shame too, because if 2023 were to be Tom Hawkins last season then I’d love to have seen Sav settled into the FF role for a good block of games in 2024 to see if he could lock it down …
He won't go unless we get something we are ok with. He still has a year on his contract and as such Geelong do not need anything other than what fits with what we are trying to do. We don't need any late picks this year for example. Perhaps a F3 next year but that would be about it.I fear he walks for pretty much nothing. The club likes him, and he's contracted, but he's not getting a game. And JHF is Port's main target, so I doubt they offer anything substantive to us for Esava that might reduce what they can offer for him
We probably need to proactive with Sav if he is not going to be in our best22 at his age Replacing him with a draftee probably helps the SalCap but doesn't help the competivness too much... as even Sam Dek took 2 years.
What do we get from Pear? Indigestion probably.

We could swap future 2nd and 3rd rounders. For Sav, not sure if that helps us or not as we would still only have 1 2nd rounder all be it a projected better one.Issue is him and his manager have chosen one of the clubs that has next to nothing to offer us.
If he could go somewhere else and get a game great. But we shouldn't be a buffet you can pick and choose from like Brisbane have done to us in recent years
PA is trading out their first this year and next. They can't trade or their future second.

Trade Sav for FR2, to go to GC for Bowes..Neale is way ahead of Sav for the FF role IMO and its not close.
Not saying SAV is no good - far from it - but in that role Neale is #1 to take over.
Sav I reckon will be a very good defender and get regualr games as a KPD #2 or 3.... big, mobile and highly athletic getting led to the ball. Will be an asset in that role. Hoped it would be for us but someone has to miss out and we need to give to get....
GO Catters
Solve our KPD shortage by telling J. Bartel we'll take Haynes off his hands as part of the Bruhn deal.Imagine we will look at taking a mature KPD via the rookie draft.
The way everyone assumes we’re cheating the salary cap anyway, we may as well get Whitfield too.Solve our KPD shortage by telling J. Bartel we'll take Haynes off his hands as part of the Bruhn deal.
ESS with pick 22 would be seeking a points trade, for Alwyn Davey Jr (FS) who is rated 15-18 in this draft.Any chance port would trade pick 33 for Esava and Pick 48?
Could then try and package 33 and 38 for pick 21 from Brisbane for points.
Pick 21 could be swapped for Henry.
Problem is Port need currency for JHF and Lions need currency for Dunkley, so not sure either would go for it.
Interesting to see Geelong play hard on their targets. Feels like we are really wanting to keep our first rounders. Also, feels like the Bowes trade will come post the other two moves. I can’t help but look into the future and think we want to keep a future pick for next offseason to bring TDK over.

Explains Hawkins immaculate smile.According to "Lachlan" on Trade Radio, Geelong players are given free meat from a butcher and free dental work for the life of their playing contracts....
jhf. ?
In the ruck in 2 years when Stanley is gone? Why on earth do people keep bringing up TDK?
So his brother plays for us. Ok.
He’s a Carlton supporter. Has a strong footing at Carlton. And he’s going to get paid well if his trajectory continues.
And I just can’t see where he’d fit at geelong.

If Curnow, McKay and Cripps are all accepting unders of 750k like Carlton fans seem to think and they have people like Walsh, Weitering, McGovern, Martin, Saad etc running around then TDK will not get much at Carlton. Why on earth do people keep bringing up TDK?

I say KFCWhile I love it, Haynes is apparently cooked - and only a club looking to shortcut their way to success like St Kilda seem to be, is crazy enough to take that salary with a 30 year old player, whose body is not what it used to be.
Did someone say Dan Hannebery?
