Does not play on, is just about to kick. SPP does not leave the protected area and just tackles.

But here's the worst bit. Watch the ump at the bottom of the screen. He calls play on AFTER HE IS TACKLED, and then immediately calls htb.

I remember Betts got done for that in a loss to Sydney at AO in 17 or 18 or so right near the end that shut the door on us making a comeback. Swans player took off to play on, Betts tackled him, but we gave away a 50m penalty because even though he had left his line the ump hadn't called play on yet.

You can't call play-on post the tackle just so you can call HTB. It's ridiculous.

Thilthorpe taking clean grabs makes him so dangerous up forward. Something Himmelberg struggles with at times, but Thilly being a one touch player, both above his head and below his knees makes him the sort of dual threat you can make the focal point of your forward line.

He didn't know the rules or he panicked and just went with whatever penalised us. He changed the rules of the sport.
