Matt Crouch is such a nothing player. He could get 50 touches and it doesn't affect our team in any way.

Good
Cook, Keays, Smith, Dawson and Hinge were probably our best today
Whatever tactic we used to get the 666 rule against the Pies. It was one of the only ways we could win a free kick.

Bad
Our tall forwards (Fog and Himms)

Ugly
Umpiring
Poor ball use on too many occasions

Surprised that a few have escaped the wrath but people have a love of certain players.

The real bad
Umpires - killed us
Schoenberg - dreadful 12 disposals, should be dropped for that but we really can't.
Sloane - none entity and just bad, needs a spell to get himself right
Himmelberg - nothing to say
FOG - kept presenting but bloody awful
McHenry - didn't do anything positive
ROB - did nothing, Straughan would at least give our mids good service

The Bad
Rowe - if you can't kick goals back to the SANFL
Murray - needs a spell to learn to settle with ball or moved up forward
Scholl - his dinky kicks are starting to annoy me
Jones - not an ideal game

Average
Pedlar - like him just needs to be rotated middle and forward not pure forward
Gollant - competed but ineffective

The Good
Crouch - actually thought he was class in the guts
Keays
Rachele
Dawson
Dude
Smith
Cook
Brown
Hinge
Butts

Our composure and skill level not AFL standard

It's hard to see or judge a game plan when skills and decision making is so bad

Time to pull the pin on Himmelberg, yes he had a patch if 5-6 quality games in 2020 but either side of that he has been poo, I hate KPF or don't provide a contest

Brown, time to be a leader at sanfl level, for his experience he gives nothing

Our midfield needs a complete transformation, it needs more power, speed and good ball users, we are going nowhere with pure grunt players , the mix with Crouch, Keays and Sloane is just so wrong and unfortunately everyone sees this except for our coaches

Lots of other issues but not sure Doedee is at his best yet

I thought Dawson was pretty good. One of the few players we gave on the list who has good foot skills. I know he left sydney for family reasons but but that's not looking like a good decision from an individual point of view. He is class.

Rachele - thought he looked pretty good when he went into the midfield. Another one who has good foot skills.

Butts - good game defensively

Cook - showed glimpses of why he can be a very good player at this level.

Our skill level is woeful
Our ball movement is garbage. Game plan?
Our tackling is ordinary.
The delivery to the forwards is shocking. In saying this I've seen enough of himmelberg, time to move on from him.

I know pedlar is underdone but we need to see him with some time in the midfield.

Schoenberg kicking is a big concern.

Midfield one paced and lacks skill. Crouch has no penetration or hurt factor what so ever. Need some pace in the midfield.

Cook must keep playing

I like Jordy with ball in hand

Fog is a better player when he gets a 2nd, or 3rd defender

Ned, I love his tenacity and pressure acts however needs to get back to what we started to see Kate last year where he started to show a little more composure

Pedlar must play AFL however needs to get some midfield minutes

I struggle to see us starting favorites in any match this season. We play all of Gold Coast, Hawthorn and North away (North in Tasmania)

Our first game going in as favorites might be the round 22 match against North Melbourne at home depending on how the season plays out

So to summarize Football in general

We'd almost be doing Thilthorpe a disservice playing him in this environment. He'll get the best defender, have one or two other key forwards in there clogging space, blocking leading areas, playing hero ball and taking their opponents straight to his space and offering no value. He'd have two on him with another defender zoning off.

Meanwhile, the mids would bomb it on his head, he'd get clobbered in packs and never be able to use his skills to lead to advantage. We're just not capable. The midfield have zero ability to move the ball forward dynamically.

How many times did C'wood get the ball through the corridor at pace today and allow themselves a targeted entrance inside 50? With forwards having space. We hold the ball up so badly and look backwards each time we get the ball in the middle that this simply isn't a reality. Only a Naughton type could survive in that forward line. Embarrassing.
True , Himmelberg was actually able to have enough looks however he’s just no good and wasn’t able to capitalise

He took 2x I50 marks and dropped 2 other very gettables , almost east marks . There is 4

He also got hit up outside 50

Surely TT can do that but actually capitalise , hopefully he comes back hungry after watching that and thinking he should be out there

I can't see how people are critical of Fog

Sure he gave 4 free kicks , some dubious , but **** me, they either kick in front of him when he's running backwards, over his head if he's leading forward.

He is in a no win situation with this teams horrendous midfield.

Karma bus is here for all you guys that hung shit on Carlton
Used to drive me nuts how much people from here used to ridicule them. Rebuilding sides can fall into this trouble, I'm sure we'll find our way out of it faster than them but looks like we may have a very tough year ahead. Draw really only looks favourable to us in the back half but damage may be done by then.

Geez. Were Himmelberg and Shoenberg have a contest on who could kick the ball higher today?

We have a team of players that have either poor disposal, bad decision making and in quite a few cases both. What a team of hacks.
