I can't see how people are critical of Fog

Sure he gave 4 free kicks , some dubious , but fu** me, they either kick in front of him when he's running backwards, over his head if he's leading forward.

He is in a no win situation with this teams horrendous midfield.
Sure, but he had an absolute shocker. He might have reasons and maybe they're even excuses, but it was still a horror game.

I thought Dawson was pretty good. One of the few players we gave on the list who has good foot skills. I know he left sydney for family reasons but but that's not looking like a good decision from an individual point of view. He is class.

Rachele - thought he looked pretty good when he went into the midfield. Another one who has good foot skills.

Butts - good game defensively

Cook - showed glimpses of why he can be a very good player at this level.

Our skill level is woeful
Our ball movement is garbage. Game plan?
Our tackling is ordinary.
The delivery to the forwards is shocking. In saying this I've seen enough of himmelberg, time to move on from him.

I know pedlar is underdone but we need to see him with some time in the midfield.

Schoenberg kicking is a big concern.

Midfield one paced and lacks skill. Crouch has no penetration or hurt factor what so ever. Need some pace in the midfield.
The frustrating thing is it's been this way for 6 odd years now and we continually have failed to address it being an issue and I can only guess it's because they don't see it as an issue.

The balance of Keays was all wrong. He’s not the player you want getting 24 uncontested touches, 1 centre clearance and 2 tackles. Maybe it’s our plan to push him further outside but it takes away from what he thrives on

ah, good to see you are a glass half full type. You should see my list of things to fix:cool:

It was an awful game but I thought we could have easily kicked 4 goals from Rowe and Berg alone, and the umps gave Collingwood at least 2 goals. Skills were horrendous but despite the awful game we just witnessed, I do actually believe are are only off the level by 10%.

Controversial, I know.

It's never as good or as bad as it seems.

That's the crux of it. I mean Berg maybe, but Jimmy rarely misses those shots.

Watched most of it at a mates BBQ this afternoon, the sound was off - but I got the gist of it.

Skill level, structures and just general gameplan :embarrassedv1:

Wrong too.

On our 3 tall forwards, I thought Gollant was solid, about as good as one could expect given how raw he is. Fog was da but disappointing but not that bad, gave away 4-5 frees but 2 were blatantly wrong and another highly questionable. At least when he gets the ball we look somewhat dangerous, which I can’t say for Himmelberg.

Dawson was pretty good, Sholl not bad. Cook had a nice first half and Rachele looked good in the midfield.

The endeavour is good. No one is playing in a self interested way. We're getting forward entries, but they're disorganised and the forward line aren't up to it.

The bad things are hard to fix this year. Midfield mix is hard to improve, as it really needs Schoenberg to play more games and fixup his kicking, and for us to find more talent. O'Brien isn't good enough, and I'm unsure that Murray's errors by foot are fixable. But what's better?

We lose a lot of games due to a bad 10 minutes - it happened half a dozen times or more last year. We break even or better for a lot of the game, but a bad period kills the game for us.

We were probably three goals worse than both Freo and Collingwood. Scoreline flattered us one week and didn't the next.

You have got to be kidding me

He was actually on par if not worse than Himmelberg and that’s saying something

First quarter he fumbles without pressure when we had numbers and they rebound and goal

He has 4 frees against with undisciplined acts

He trails in behind multiple times and they rebound and get I50s when we could have scored or at leas they’d it in

He doesn’t present at kicker ( Himmelberg had 3-4 marks presenting at kicker )

He’s the exactl sort of player I’d hate to play with , makes everything harder for everyone else

He will be a delist and no other club will come for him … unless something drastically changes

I was happy with him last week and he had 7 possessions , shows where he’s at

To be up in arms with Himmelberg and not with Fog is wrong . Fog has more talent by a huge stretch and effectiveness on game was similar if not less

Nah, that's about right.

Freo and Collingwood are in the 6 to 12 band, and we're in the 13 to 18 band. We're not necessarily that far off them.

Wayne Carey couldn’t get a kick in our forward line atm.

Having said that, I will be ignoring that argument for the purposes of omitting Himmelberg

Christ.

I hope he has a good few weeks late in the year and then gets homesick.
