Nah, like we do this exact thing about half of the time. We did it last year.

Dont recall us dominating them around the ground like we did in the first half in recent years. We did everything but put them away on the scoreboard and it was just not enough to still nudge a win

I think Nicks and the coaching staff missed a trick by moving Dawson down back as the plus-one in the last quarter and subbing off Soligo. We started to get hammered around the ball once this happened. I think with Collingwood's lack of ruckman and massive key forward, we could have subbed out Butts (who was awful by foot) and played ROB or Thilthorpe behind the ball. Subbing off Soligo for Harry was a like-for-like that gave us no additional benefits, we basically took off a high-IQ player who was playing well for someone gives off loose handballs in the corridor late in the game.

Rankine passed that one off too to Soligo if not mistaken from not that far out.

Walker tries to short pass on the 50 when the stage is set for him to launch a team lifter.

I think our backline actually played fairly well today. Yes Collingwood managed its usual fightback and won, but we held a top side goalless until halfway through the second quarter. I like that.

Ugly:
Just watched last 30 seconds. How could Rachele not give that handball to Murphy. Murphy would have found the free players in the forward line and we win. It simply doesn't make sense why he didn't give the handball. That handball should be automatic regardless of what point the game is in.

Dawson didn’t impact? He had 11 touches. I think it was the weight of numbers rather than Dawson not impacting playing behind the ball

He did all the kick ins and kicked it straight to the boundary for a stoppage which Collingwood just won back. We were trying to play down the clock.

All the games that we have lost this year have followed the same pattern - dominate large patches of the game and miss a pile of easy shots.

Have we had more scoring shots in all our losses this year? Probably?

No. GWS had one more shot in the end. It's 3 losses that could be attributed to bad kicking, but there were other factors in all three.
