Tigers get on top in the third quarter … umpires say ‘Hold my beer’. Full strength Adel except for Seedsman. 32-13 in free kicks and you kicked 12-1 from set shots. It’s nice to win but I’d probably cool the celebrations - wouldn’t want to celebrate too early like in GF week of 2017 when Tex saved a seat on the plane for the cup

Also Eddie's guernsey is still being stretched from 2017

Spot on. You have to actually observe the game, you can certainly extract some surprising insights from stats at the end of a game or over a period of time... but using statistics alone is folly.
What you have to do is observe the game then default to your pre conceived biases like alot of people do on here haha

They were probably dogs in a previous life. See ball, chase ball.

Good win but what was especially pleasing was Richmond got out to a quick start and then challenged in the third quarter and hit the front - we steadied and got back on top.

Now to next week in Ballarat. Our tall forwards might be an issue for the Doggies.
The last three weeks we have lost momentum and got it back.

Even the Freo game we never gave up.

Collingwood game an abhoration.

A great trait to have.

Cool the celebrations?

We won. We're celebrating it. Why wouldn't we?

Crows probably got the rub of the green with the umpires, but a lot of that was Richmond's history of ducking into tackles finally not paying off.

The free kick difference was actually from the umpires making GOOD decisions - though the Crows got a good run with the 50/50 calls.
One of the few games I've ever seen the umpires correctly adjudicating ducks

How do we always get these shit venues. If its not Tasmania its Alice Spring etc. The big Vic teams never do that.

It's pretty sad that you felt the need to post that.

Hard marker, sure he had a couple of fumbles but his good far far outweighed his bad.

22 Disposals, 18 kicks, 4 handballs, 9 Marks, 535m gained, 6 intercepts, 2 score involvements, 76.9% Disposal efficiency, 100% time on ground.

10 turnovers! But was a fairly good game and showing enough to persist with

Grubby post by a grub-supporter of the grubbiest team in the Comp., with the grubbiest Coach.

I’m sure he was up in arms re the charmed run they got in the 2017 GF on their home ground as the 2nd qualified side

IMHO the only real negatives were the repeated Walker brain snaps that prevented the game being over at half-time.

And Doedee pulling rank on Frampton so he could have the "easier" match-up while Butts was off, and immediately getting targeted and conceding (with O'Brien's help) a mark and shot at goal to Balta

I thought the coaches had a great week, finally having confidence in our young players and actually play them in the positions they were drafted. Berry can only get better with more experience, Cook looked awesome even though a few players gave him hospital handball. That’s the only way players are going to get better.

They deserve all the credit this week, let hope it’s not a one off and we finally embrace this rebuild

The best kick in the team Dawson had 7, plenty of pressure out there by both teams tonight.

Frampton being dropped is the least controversial opinion ever.
Are you serious? Have you read the thread in which I posted this hot take - you hero?

You could even do a simple exercise and get a crayon and some butcher's paper and do two columns labelled "love billy" and "yucky billy" and then do a little line for each post and I think you would have a really good time doing some art and craft on a Saturday arvo!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When the game is up on the AFL website, go back thru it and give me the times on the tape where the umpires were incorrect, I'll do the same. I don't think they were as bad as you think. You guys gave away shitloads of frees.

I'm still bemused by Keays pointing out your dude moving about 4m back and forth on the mark to the umpire, he moved back and forth five times in the stand rule age and there was no 50, what was that all about??

Thanks mate your tears are delicious.

It’s the right call, to make Doedee more attacking

"Rory came from the ground in the final quarter after suffering a right knee injury," Burgess said.

"While we hold fears it could be serious, he will have scans and further assessment in coming days, at which point the club will provide another update."

Burgo on Sloane

"We hold fears it might be serious"

Yep he's done
