Tex and Sloane. True leadership. What they are doing right now is simply immeasurable and should this group go on to achieve success in the future, their roles in the attainment of that success should not be forgotten. Brilliant, both of them. I am lost for words with how well Tex in particular is playing. He has not deserved what has been put on him in the last few years and to see him doing what he is doing, it is inspiring 😍 He deserves to finish his career on a high. Keep going Texan!

Don’t let us down today brother.

After seeing Lynch slip over and get hit in the head by the ball, followed by Laird streaming into goal and falling flat on his face, then Smith (?) handballing into the back of Seedsman's head... I thought oh well, good game but we're probably not going to hang on here.

But we offset these comedic moments with some clutch plays and composure at the death

I honestly challenge anyone to find a zero to hero game like McHenry had. He's an absolutely frustrating footballer, who for three quarters, was playing some of the worst football played in an Adelaide jumper. Then makes 3 really big plays in the last quarter (the tackle in the goal square to get the Keays goal, going in hard against the GCS player to 50/50 that contest, cutting off the handball option and kicking the goal from Berry's tackle on Lukosuis). At least you can't question his fortitude.
I thought he’d lost the game for us.

Then won it.

Then lost It.

Then won it.

Ned’s an enigma.

How does someone that close to the ground fumble ground balls so often?...and then bring down an elephant to save a goal.

How can an AFL footballer not make the distance from 30m?...then after being all over the ground at manic pace and pressure when anyone else would be fatigued, get the ball, burn everyone off and kick a winning goal?

He’s doing my head in. 😆

The win was good, but how awesome is it to watch a good game of footy? Gee the Suns have some talent on their list, but we are more balanced with a blend of experience and kids coming through. Tex owned that forward line. Sloane led from the front. My biggest concern was our kick out from defence. We nailed it a couple of times in that last quarter, but more often we looked like our game plan was not working.

Frampton is starting to give off major Ian Perrie vibes.

I just can’t do another 100 games of what he served up tonight.
At least Sarge could klunk a mark, Frampton cant even hold a chest mark

I'd love to know who it was calling for the ball.
Rowe's first no was to two people I think, Tex about 15m back and someone else 25m back.

The other person got the message and ran to a more attacking position. Tex persisted louder and Rowe was a little more direct with the 2nd no.

Yeah, I didn’t see the funny side at all.
The first 3 quarters were just bewilderingly stupid. About on par with the SANFL umpires at Elizabeth yesterday

7 quarters of football across the 2 games with incompetent calls calling absolute trash.

All I could do was laugh and shake my head at it.

But that 4th quarter. We were nailing tackles and the umpire would call play on for stuff which would be holding the ball 95% of the time. While at the other end, they'd get a holding the ball call for something which would only be paid 80% of the time.

That 4th was just another level up from what I had watched before that yesterday.

Once Schoenberg starts getting 20+ touches a game people are going to start figuring out how good he is

There was one play in Q1 where he gathered and looked to handball to Seedsman I think who was running past on the outside.

Mid-handball he sensed that Seedsman would get boxed in so held onto it and turned back inside. Sent a couple of defenders the wrong way.

Made it look so simple but that type of awareness has been so lacking in our midfielders for a long time (even including Dangerfield and Sloane). It's S Mitchell, Pendlebury stuff.

Brodie Smith was next level last night. He’s quietly back to his AA form as well.

Am I the only one that likes Dwayne?

I like him. I get a bit tired of his buzz words, but I enjoy his call. But I'm a big fan of BT, so I'm not really someone you want in your corner on this. I also enjoy the bias that comes through when ex-players call their club's games. Adds something positive in my view, seems to shit nearly everyone else to tears.

Yeah he has elite work in traffic. Another preseason of strength and conditioning and he should be pushing to be a prime mover for us. His handball skills are sublime too. Always puts it to advantage. Same with his kicking.
