Haha who’s the player to the left of Tex that gives the Port guy one to the chops?

This Nankervis lad can really play .....how composed was he tonight ....just doesn't panic, and I love that he's going for his pack marks as a 2-game player ....most would spectate and accede to more experienced players

That’s a fair call. Crouch with 12 clearances - next best Butters with 6, if he can do something like that regularly then absolutely pushes Sloane out of the side

Not just side but if crouches cards were stamped and sloane leaning toward a contract, this could easily reverse that position as I don’t see a need/room for both on our list

Can’t play both - do both get contracts for next year?

Given our inability to manage Sloane, I wouldn't offer him a new contract.

If we did have the ability to use him as break glass option, I wouldn't have an issue giving him another year.

The fact that Sloane got more touches in one half as the sub than Pedlar and Jones got in a full game is very concerning.

8 score involvements as well

Was a good sub game by Sloane - conditions helped as there wasn’t a lot of one grab footy. He is so slow to move

Would be an asset in our SANFL side and you mentioned, as a break glass option most definitely I would want him on the list.

We are not getting IMO the elite mid that we need via draft or trade this summer.

OR Crouch just auditioned for another team .....he would still have some resentment, at spending the season in the SANFL

It'll be an interesting watch

Aliir not even having a head impact assessment and Jones whom he had the head contact with then subbed off for “migraine” is a genuine disgrace and needs to be the big story here. They’ve attempted to blatantly subvert the rules at best and disregarded duty of care to their players at worst. Horrible.

Also tex.

Definitely thinking about next week as well with Aliir - they have the Cats and need him desperately. All the more reason the AFL need to investigate.

Hell even Port have started a thread on their board ripping the club for what they did

How good is it to win both Showdowns this year? I know I've given Nicks a lot of s**t but that's something I'm grateful for.
Sunday tomorrow ....good time for confession & a few Hail Mary's ;)

I really thought we kinda maybe fluked the first one, maybe we caught Port at the right time, but tonight's game just validates how good our win over Port was before their winning streak.

It only shows we are going to be a force if we can just address one or two areas and get some players either through the draft or trade.

Imagine Murray, Butts, Rankine and Rachele all playing a full game tonight, we would have smashed Port by 10+ goals.

Sloane needs to retire gradually.

That marl over Boak was more akin to a Slowdown.

It is sad

Does anyone on here work in the field of medicine?

Are there multiple schools of thought among the medical community about the effects of concussion?

Are there some "concussion deniers" who think the long term effects are overstated?

Or is it universally accepted that head knocks are a big deal?

It is impossible that both players didn't have concussion, with a head knock ......If PORT report early in the week, delayed concussion for either player, the AFL has to investigate

It smells to high heaven !

I should hold off until I've seen the full game but something looked off about Port tonight. Collingwood also played like shit this week. I'm wondering whether last weeks game pulverised the both of them.
