The fact that Sloane got more touches in one half as the sub than Pedlar and Jones got in a full game is very concerning.
Pedlar was bad. Junked it up super late, but was mostly bad all game. Jones was stuck playing a defensive post once Butts went off injured.

There may have better , though for mine , the best win of the year.

I'm pretty sure he was directly playing on that no name spud Callum Chambers Medalist that kicked 4
On the wing?

Michaelanney lined up on him for most of the night from where I stood.

Once Butts went down the defensive structures completely changed. And stood up. Letting Evans get his goals was a better outcome than their bigger forwards get off the chain.

Just for extra context, the TMNT mug fits at least 4 or 5 extra mouthfuls in it. So it's not a straight forward change.

Aliir not even having a head impact assessment and Jones whom he had the head contact with then subbed off for “migraine” is a genuine disgrace and needs to be the big story here. They’ve attempted to blatantly subvert the rules at best and disregarded duty of care to their players at worst. Horrible.

Also tex.

Didn’t help there cause also because Tex kicked a heap of goals on Allir. Should have been subbed out for his well being

Funny thing is, in a boxing match, you go like that, they don't give an 8 count, you're done.

Why it is different in football bugs me no end
It not though.. Port are the only team that would, and do, send players back on after seeing them knocked out cold like that.

name another afl team, and KO incident this year or in the last few years for that matter, who send players who have been clearly KO’d back onto the field.

they are fxxkn cheats. They know the rules. They dont give a fxxk about them cause they know the AFL can only really fine them.. and the AFL essentially pay that fine.

coaches, doctors and players involved should be banned for a couple of matches for that disgraceful shit tonight. Its the only thing that will force Port to comply with the rules like every other team do.

Brisbane was a win.

Tex’s 3rd quarter just single-handedly wins that game, Port looked the best they did all night halfway through the 3rd and lots of Crows players were just running around headless, Tex turns it around and changes the course for the rest of the match. The reliance on Tex is immense, he and Dawson have to step up so much in this team to get the team over the line in games.

Crouch works on nights like tonight when due to pressure and even dew it becomes so tight & slippery in the clutches especially against Port who like to space Rozee and Butters just off the main ground ball contest so it allows for some slightly less contested ground ball, he’s always been good in these type of Showdown matches. This football club as we know is always so reactionary so you just hope they don’t get carried away on a rare circumstantial occasion Crouch works, it still impacted Laird’s game a lot, despite tonight’s result the two can’t play together in the midfield.
