Well it was our first loss of the season...

But we are still on top of the ladder

We walked into Round 5 with the highest confidence possible after winning our first 4 games and seemingly destined for finals. Furies were much further down the ladder and didn't seem quite up to par so far this season, but it seems we underestimated them.

A relatively even first half with less than a goal in it at the main break. We rued our missed chances in front of goal, kicking 7.8 (50) to their 7.3 (45) in what probably cost us the game at the end of the day. Furies got on top in the 3rd quarter kicking 8.3 (51) to our 5.3 (33) and managed to keep their distance and run out the game winning by 14 points.

The loss of Bulldogs85 was felt on-field with myself trying to fill the void left at Centre Half Back, but it wasn't enough. It was an even spread of goal kickers with Aristotle Pickett , bone2468 , Barrybran , ossie_21 and Rodney Dangerfield all kicking 2 goals each. eDPS shined on the wing with 27 disposals and 9 marks and CatToTheFuture got 13 handballs and 3 tackles in a solid first outing in the midfield.

Walking back into the office this week after you absolutely destroy another team in an online fantasy game that you have no control over:

After a shock loss to the Furies last week we got back on the horse and worked our butts off at training. We made sure we would never underestimate another team again, so going into our game against the Roys we were hungry and revved up to remain on top of the ladder.

The first quarter was completely even as both teams fought hard to gain the upper hand. Aristotle Pickett scored our first goal of the game to show his old team what they are missing out on. Dory_77 kicked 2 incredible goals from the pocket and was on fire the entire day.

The second quarter was when we jumped the Roys and piled on 5 goals while keeping them to zero in an outstanding display of defending. Barrybran kicked 3 goals to keep moving up the FRED rankings. GWS Goose once again got his regular midfielder goal a game, and Rodney Dangerfield scored right on half-time for his 250th. #RodneyDangerfield250

If you thought the second quarter was epic, then the third one was just as incredible if not more-so. We kept Roys again to absolutely nothing (0.0) the entire quarter and once again piled on 5 goals. Our back-6 of bone2468 Ned_Flanders NSWCROW StFly DenieD and beez are easily be the best back-6 in the comp currently with the least conceded points in the league so far.

The fourth quarter we let our defence have a little rest and let some goals through, but we still carried on scoring, kicking 6.5 and coming away 90 point victors. A performance that should see us be the premiership favourites (for now).

We had two 100+ DT scorers in the game with Brick Loosener and Rodney Dangerfield getting the job done in the midfield. Barrybran kept his FRED medal chances alive with 7 snags. Dory_77 from the pocket kicked 5 in probably one of the best forward pocket games I have ever seen.

And with that huge percentage booster we remain on top of the ladder on 5-1 with a gigantic 143 percent.

Our lowest total team posts of just 330 (but the match thread wasn't a very big one anyway so that isn't a problem), yet we had 19 posters join in against the Roys including new rookie Falconista and miggs (welcome back) so that was a big positive. Still maintaining at least 10 posters making over 10 posts a match thread which is awesome.
