Tanner Bruhn at North makes no sense! They have his type of player in spades with every other card in the deck.
I’m unsure Bruhn fits at the Hawks let alone a team that has recently drafted: Josh Goater(22), Will Phillips (3) Tom Powell (13), Charlie Lazzaro (36). And I intentionally left out JHF at pick 1 as he is different to Bruhn in that he can change a game.
Throw in Jed Anderson, LDU (quality), Jy Simpkin (quality) and Bruhn is the last player they need.

Why would North want more mids anyway? Already have Powell, Phillips, Simpkin, Davies-Uniacke, Horne-Francis, Thomas

Cunnington, Anderson and Greenwood as mature bodies.

Bruhn would struggle getting a gig as an inside mid at North.

This might the end of this road for us.

Bruhn choosing North would be one of the strangest decisions from a player that I can remember.

24 hours hours ago our infamous ITK did say 'Bruhn to Hawks will happen, ignore anything else you hear or read'.

Interesting that this piece of news about a breakfast circulates a day later.

And the players advertise a number of interested clubs, to force a club to accept their terms as quickly as possible to ensure they don't miss out. In that "game theory" situation it would make sense for some to declare their hand if they are really keen on a destination so as to secure whatever is needed to get the trade done. Waiting too long is a mistake in that situation as clubs need to make complex decisions and wouldn't want to be held back by one party who has not declared interest.

However, if a player mainly cares about the money they will hold back as long as possible to get the highest price and in that type of scenario I don't see Hawthorn engaging strongly.

Not saying any of that is untrue - just saying that all that can be done via calls/texts & meetings & none of it requires a news article or media clip.

If a player wants to notify a club of their interest, they (their manager) calls that club ('s list manager etc.) - they don't call Channel 7 & ask it to be broadcast so that the nominated club is duly notified at the next bulletin or via twitter.
