I suspect he will leave Victoria for reasons nothing to do with Clarko. I’ve had some vague mail indicating this but won’t post any details.

Very true. However currently next year's crop is considered to have deeper talent at the top end and have more depth the further down you go.

This COULD be Covid affected too however.

This year's crop had no footy in 2020 and half a season last year.
Next year's group will have a full season extra to judge them on. That could play a part in how we view them.

We are trying to keep first pick next year.

‘Trying’? I would hope it’s non-negotiable. Or are we back to the Clarko years of thinking we can make a few changes and jump back up the ladder? Feels like after 12 months of rebuild the club may be getting ahead of itself on the challenge to rebuild the list. Yes Sam may be impatient but that’s why we have list managers.
