Firstly, the "No Kane Cornes" Rule is back

I'm going to quietly change my expectation to missing out on Bruhn now. If it does happen I will simply be pleasantly surprised.

Hopper making the best choice for himself but it has a direct affect on other clubs planning now.
What we do know about the club is while Bruhn might of been plan A (or B with Amon being A) then there will be C, D and E that they wont now be jumping at, it will be already conversations being had so even if Bruhn does now shift focus to Geelong, it will be interesting to see what else they have in the works

I just can’t see how Richmond get those two players. Their 2022 first pick isn’t good enough for either and I doubt GWS will accept their 2023 first pick for either. Could argue both players are individually worth those two picks with something back from Giants, but how could they then get the other one? They are going to have to trade players

Richmond currently hold three 2022 first rounders.

Tigers must know Dusty is off, should get them 2 1st's

Well there you go. I guess they probably can get them. But they will be wiping out that draft hand

In terms of Bruhn, surely we can pay a lot more than Geelong. Let him choose between more money and opportunity or being closer to family. If he chooses the latter so be it.

Richmond should have to give up more for Taranto and Hopper than we gave up for Mitchell and O'Meara so it'll be interesting to see how they get it done. They have similar assets to work with that we did in 2016.

It'll be interesting to see what the Hopper decision means for Geelong long term. They'll be desperate for Bruhn, staring down the barrel of the retirements they've got coming up.

Paying 3 firsts at a minimum is madness from Richmond, good players but will they have enough talent on their list next year to get it done , I don't think so. Then the years after that it only gets harder .

That’s for Richmond to contend with. Let them do it. Seems similar to what we did and that turned out well. I’m all for Richmond to finish in their customary 9th place again

Is there anything more Sydney like than trading in Dusty and back ending his deal into the first year of the new broadcast rights agreement?

Really? Easy decision for Tigers.

None of those firsts are top 10, Taranto is 24 and Hopper 25.

Doubt you'll land two let alone three players in the draft as good as these guys with any of the picks they give up.

They also took five players in the top 30 of last year's draft.

Sickening that they can actually pull this off.
