We didn’t fall short - we were lucky to be that close. We are putrid and if I had been quick enough to snap the half time vision in the change rooms, you would know that this team is not a happy team

Could not beat an injury depleted Sydney full of youngsters for Gunston's 200th.

Well there is absolutely, categorically, no denying it anymore. We are a bottom four team and any talk of contending is fantasy land stuff. Even the most deluded fans have to agree.

It doesn't matter if Clarko is the GOAT coach or not, the hard questions need to be asked if he believes that and continues down this same path with this absolutely rubbish game plan.

I hope the media scrutiny is turned up yet again.

We will get nothing from this season persisting with Stratton, Burgoyne and the rest of the old brigade. Play the kids, give them a chance.

Snap judgements (RIP Don Banks).

The coaches need to realise that finals are not on the agenda this season and the list needs a reset. Quite a few players turned in a poor performance when the heat was turned up in the second half.

Hard to take too many positives, apart from the continued form of Sicily and Frost and the lionhearted endeavours of McEvoy who never shirks the issue.

Too many of the senior players allowed their opponent to dictate the game to them in the second half. Not enough of them were able to make something happen, even when the chips were down.

Pretty disappointing to watch, to be honest.

Any point discussing? Not sure its merely a lack of effort, sadly it looks like a lack of ability and worse still a lack of strategy or belief in strategy...the only positive is we have played another team into form ie Collingwood, GWS, Melbourne...

As much as I was struggling to watch that miserable performance, hopefully it is the final wake up call that this group won't cut it. We are miles off a contending side. We have so many poor users of the ball, no class besides 1 or 2.

Please go to the draft, bring some exciting youth in, Our list is in such poor shape.

Flopley goal hurt in the end on the scoreboard.

But Lewis is a shadow of his 2019 self. Just struggles to have any impact at all. Needs some time in the twos, I'm happy for us to bring in a young kid who just wants to do the best he can and has no fear. Scully kicks sky balls with every disposal,Smith flat out refuses to tackle, constantly bumping when it's not the right decision.

There's a lot of improvement to have which is a good thing.

Impey in next week, pop Sicily forward as he can actually read the flight and make a contest.

Sicily is by far our best player. Too bad we have so many average players around him.
I don’t disagree BUT...

The way Rampe used the football today - on angles to open up attacking options in the corridor - shows how pointless Sicily’s dump kick down the line can be. He needs to become more creative and offensive by foot. Dumping the ball 50m down the same wing invariably results in the ball coming back again.

You are correct.

Dowler had him covered.

I tell you what I will gladly have a bet with you that Lewis is delisted within a year.

Deal?

Once again you might be right about his delisting.

But Dowler..... you're having a fiddle mate. Lewis' season last season surpassed Dowler's entire career.

However he isn't near that this season.
