Brads the good one with a glass body, Matt is very good at getting 35 disposals and doing SFA with them.

After watching Saturday’s game I reckon Matt Crouch’s 24 possessions would have resulted in a total about 20m gained (if that!!!!). Every time he got the ball he went sideways or backwards.

Malcom Blight just said on SEN that Adelaide should Trade both crouch brothers to GC for picks 1 & 2 in the draft, so Adelaide have 1,2 & 3 apparently GC will jump at it.

So no crouch for us 😂

Side note I was 20km out Merridan (WA) driving 110km/h when he said it and almost lost control laughing when he suggested it, no way they are worth that, I think Blighty has lost it

I heard they were going to the Tigers...........

He has always done that, he accumulates and go sideways. Just look at what the Adelaide board says about him. They also play almost the same style, so how they fit in the same 22 doesn’t work for me either.

Watch the cow collective minds froth over that thought...

No he was serious, apparently GC would prefer that over two new kids, of course Gerard didn’t pull him up on that.

If GC was going to shop those two picks, which isn’t a bad idea, there would be clubs lining up to give them better than the crouch brothers surely. Neale was 1 first round pick and not as good, he is suggesting that one crouch brother is worth more than Neale

If I was GC I reckon I'd trade one of the top two picks for both of them though - which one depends on which player they want to take in the draft.

The Crouch boys would give the Suns some much needed grunt in the middle, and would help bring their slight outside players into the game a bit more.

I still think they would be better getting Rowell and Anderson. Best mates which helps chances of them staying to go with their 3 SA boys from last year who are mates. Building a pretty good core of youth and then they would be best to start bringing in quality mature talent with their early picks over the next 2 seasons.

Doubt they would be dumb enough to give up 1 and 2 for Crouch brothers.

I would probably go down this path as well, especially considering Brad's injury history.

See I think they need the mature talent before they go back to the top of the draft. Guys like King, Lukosius and Rankine need a reason to stay beyond next year when every other team in the comp starts getting in their ears.

Trade Pick 1 for both Crouch boys - make Adelaide pay some salary.
Go a left-field option like Young with pick 2, given Rowell/Anderson are perhaps a bit too samey with the Crouch boys coming in.

Cracking boys club this one
I keep coming back to this list with horror and some astonishment - not sure even at our worst periods of nepotism our list was as bad as this - asleep at the wheel much, crows?

Just remember they wanted to get Gibbs when they foolishly thought they could follow up shitting the bed in 2017 grand final and go one better. But they even failed at that as they misread the landscape of what it would take to get Gibbs out of Carlton earlier than we wanted to. So twelve months later when 2017 was shown to be a spike on a relatively average and old list they give up pick 10 and 16 that they should have been using to invest in the draft for Gibbs getting older and older. They could have such better youth now if they kept at least one of Cameron and Lever and used those early drafts pick well instead of going for a guy in twilight of his career when their premiership window was bolted shut anyway. Asleep at wheel running off the road into a big tree. Meanwhile the dopey pricks do not know what they are doing with the veterans they got anyway as Gibbs is in and out of their side in 2019 season. So why give up such early picks for future when you not even sure what you using the guy for , that you gave up pick 10 and 16 for ?
Comedy central list management.

Then last off season they desperate to get at least one of Rankine, Lukosius or even Rozee. Do not manage to get any but still had some decent draft picks, need to re-invest in future but what do they do with pick 19, trade it away on the night. It actually read to me they cried about not getting any of the SA youngsters they wanted, lost out to Port to get Rozee and they virtually took their bat and ball for night and went home rather than at least use that pick on night to invest in another youngster they desperately needed to get back in system as early as possible to develop.

As it is , they are extremely lucky we lost Docherty, Pickett, Williamson and missed lots of games to injury of Charlie Curnow, Kruezer, Cuningham and others like Murphy and Simpson from time to time. If they played a lot more games we would probably be around their spot on ladder and given up pick 19 last year for virtually nothing.

FWIW - GCS said they let Lyons do at the end of last year because they had too many inside mids.

Swallow
Miller
Fiorini
Brodie
Etc

Not sure they’d want the Crouches.

reid was openly flayed on radio in adelaide for NOT landing gibbs - then openly flogged around the footy world for paying too much to finally land gibbs.......

Both of these things can be right though. If they'd landed him when they should have they'd have probably won the 2017 flag. Instead they overpaid a year too late after the window closed.

imo gibbs would not - repeat, not - have made the difference in the result of the 2017 grand final - they shit themselves and the inclusion of a player who had rarely if ever been a match-winner wouldn't have changed a thing........

So Gold Coast are getting a PP are they?

How the hell would this even work ???

The current ladder order From 18th going up the ladder) is

Suns. 12 points. 66.4%
Melbourne. 20 points. 80.7%
Carlton. 24 points. 87.9%
Swans. 24 points. 93.9%

So Blight is expecting Melbourne to make up a game and 7.2% when they have Richmond, Collingwood, Sydney and North. Good luck with that ...........

Plus Suns would need a PP and to be stupid enough to give up #1 and #2 for the Crouch brothers.........

A lot of football....let's call them personalities...struggle with these hypotheticals.

GC have pick 1.
Adelaide have Pick 3.
GC will get a priority pick, so they'll have 1 and 2.
They should trade them to Adelaide for some players.
Then Adelaide will have Picks 1, 2 and 3.
.....completely oblivious to the fact that the priority pick pushes the others back.

When listening to these people discuss possible trade scenarios, don't sweat the details. They certainly don't. At a base level, it's an interesting conversation as to whether Adelaide would/should part with some established players to bring in more youth (ie. start a rebuild) and whether GC should prioritise mature players over high value draftees to try and generate some on-field improvement.

If i was the GC list manager i'd be taking 1 + 2 to the draft this year and try and bring in mature players another way and if Adelaide give them a phone call tell them to eff off.

The suns have everything the cows want. Lukosious, rankine, picks 1 and possibly 2 and the cows have nothing the suns want (maybe sloan). Silly Cows.
