A number of us could see the issues at hand before this season started. Can’t blame them for not wanting to hear our opinions, but due to the way they handled the feedback...I have no sympathy.
So yes...glorious it is.

At one point we had Sticks as President, Ratten as Senior Coach, and Andrew McKay as Head of Football.
We currently have our team of the century fullback as List Manager, and our Senior Coach is a former best and fairest winner.

As for your first line, yes and it coincided with a really poor period for the club. We've (hopefully) learned our lesson. Adelaide still haven't.
SOS & Teague are ex-players but won their roles on merit...done a good job so far.
Adelaide picked up ex-players like Burton & Hart, despite their track record being really poor.

We'll do it again every year folks, and yes it will be the Ravens.
Injuries often can change the potential names, but you can formulate rough lists of player.
Then you can also roughly decide tiers of players and how compared to previous seasons you potentially rate them.
This year months ago you could have worked out the following.
1. Tall forwards are lacking.
2. Rucks - Jackson main top option but size and ability at AFL level a question.
There is also a perceived top two players and then it opens up depending on how you view players and positional needs. (Young, Ash, Kemp, Stephen, Gould, Flanders, Serong...)
As a blues fan, I was certainly not upset about Carlton trading down and out of this draft and trading into last seasons draft.
If you did not think the GCS and even Carlton had the potential to obtain a PP this season, I think you had rocks in your head.
