I am not at all as impressed with the gaggle of assistants we have at Carlton as many others who follow the Blues may be.

For a start, why the feck did we hire Cameron Bruce and give him the midfield portfolio ?? When he played for the Dees, he was as soft as butter and it is hard to imagine him inspiring our mids to run through brickwalls or go toe to toe with some vim & vigour.

Throw in Brett Stanton and we are being show how to play the game at centre bounces by a pair of front-running seagulls.

What has John Barker ever achieved as a player and/or coach ?? Absolutely nothing !!

David Teague was a solid defender, why is he handling the forwards now ??

Dale Amos is spoken about quite highly but once again, has he been there too long already ??

As for Shane Watson, I've been scratching my head over that appointment since it was made.

Josh Fraser appears to be doing an "okay" job with the seconds but surely there could be an upgrade on him.

Jason Davenport came to the club via the North Shore Seagulls in the Geelong Football League, throw a chip down Lygon Street and let him go chase it.

Why is Paddy Dow hiring his own private kicking coach when we are paying Sav Rocca a wage for that role already ??

And I'm yet to see any improvement in our rucks since Hamish McIntosh came to the club so why is he being persisted with ??

Isn't it time we employed some no-nonsense/tough as nails assistants to instil some backbone into this playing group ??

As an example, what about Garry Hocking to work with the mids instead ?? Surely he would demand some "steel" from our players instead of the lettuce-leaf crap we are getting now.

Regardless of his own faults, Bolton was always hamstrung having to work with this group of assistants, they all have to go as well.

SOS dodges an awful lot of criticism for a guy who clearly has no idea what he is doing.

Both he and Judd should go. They're useless.

SOS is just as culpable and should go.

Also get rid of any Pratt or mathison.

Sorry mate, don't take it personally but it's just an opinion and one that is very important to our sport.
It is why a female will never become a senior coach at AFL level.
Fagan is also about 6ft and not 5ft'1 or whatever Bolton is.

It's an incredibly dumb opinion when it's disproved so easily. Or are you saying Brisbane are improving despite Fagan and not because of him?

True, but how much can you help them when they don't help themselves. They essentially traded away pick #1 for a player who wasn't rated in the top 18 players in a strong draft.
