I thought Briggs was doing more of the battering in the first half rather than Brodie.
And Brodie became more effective in the second half. Not sure if that’s because he adjusted or just because Briggs tired.

I think it illustrates that his effectiveness in the pure ruck elements of the game remains important to us breaking even in stoppage work, something I felt we mostly did in the third quarter even though we didn’t close the scoreboard gap.

This is such an unbelievably sick photo that it ALMOST makes me forgive Jake Lloyd for turning and celebrating with the crowd before his teammates.

When Jake Lloyd is celebrating with the crowd, you know good things are happening. I was sitting in that pocket and loved it. Let the man have his moment!

We still put up 88 points against a incredible defence of Buckley/Idun and Taylor.

No other team has those 3 pillars we would of put up 100+ against any other side.

Their defense was excellent, our win was perhaps the most impressive of the weekend. I'd hate to meet them again in the GF! Luckily for us, Brisbane are one of the teams that has enough offensive firepower to beat them, so I'll be hoping the Lions can win this Saturday!

I sometimes feel our 3 tall forwards are about as co-ordinated in the Forward 50 as donkey at a break dancing competition.
Their leading patterns (McLean and Amartey in particular) are what concerns me the most. They just don’t know how to create space to take an easy mark on the lead or even worse, both seem to get in each others way and it looks more kick and hope.

Don’t get me started on their 50/50 set shot ability.

I just hope for the life of me we can get them involved properly so it doesn’t have to be relied on the midfield to get most of the score.

Yes, that's exactly what I'm getting at. If we make another GF we are not winning with 3 talls.

It is huge potential Achilles Heel (apart from the potential of turning up to a gf without any intent or want for a contest aka 2022/2014) if we are fortunate to make it to the big dance this year.

Let’s hope if we are fortunate, then one turns into a 2011 Hawkins or Gulp 2016 Tom Boyd.

Next you will say we need to win a first quarter to win a grand final

To be honest if we made the GF and won the first quarter I would almost start panicking. I'd be dead set happy to be evens or just a few points behind.

I mean can you imagine if our back 6 swapped? holy crap we would be unbeatable
