Hope those two are given an extra week to get fit for finals. Crazy how quick they have recovered and hope we get it right and not have them break down early.

Agreed. Duggo and Cripps should play the Adelaide game rather than this week, then turn around the week after and tear the Tiggies a new one on our home-away-from-home deck.

Hurn, Hutchings, Duggan, Cripps and yes FKASC Edwards all trained. Bunga and Hutch looked ready to play, but maybe another week for the others

Cameron on light duties only so maybe feeling the pinch after a few AFL games in a row

Naitanui did some handballs and nothing else so not much to report on there
Hurn, Hutchings, Duggan and Cripps are 4 very useful players to be coming back in the month leading up to finals. The 22 out there against Norf did well and seeing this depth fills me with some confidence.

NicNat would be icing on the cake

Crazy thinking that stationery handballs could just fit in with being rested for the fortnight since it was announced?

Exactly. The plan was always to increase load after 2 weeks. But it seems at day 15 or 16 because he's not running laps some want to amputate his leg...

We have just under 6 weeks to the first week of finals - so I'm hoping he can be close to running at full speed in about 3-weeks. That is plenty of time, obviously completely depends on his body though, and there is still a fair chance he's in for surgery in the coming weeks.

Great call. Let’s stay calm and monitor weekly.

Over 2 weeks since the Collingwood game and Nicnat just doing stationery handballs. Doesn't bode well, not that I really expected anything different. Good news about the others.

He’s moving. Saw him break into a half jog to get a footy and kicked a footy as well. Was in full training kit this week whereas last week he was just wearing a polo from memory

Too early to be drawing conclusions one way or the other yet although I will say that 2 weeks ago Duggan wasn’t do much either and he’s almost ready for a return now. It’s a dim light, but there’s still a light at the end of the tunnel for Nic nonetheless

Shame for Brodie Riach as he was coming along very well, and I would think he is one to keep.

“Nic Naitanui’s rehabilitation from an ankle syndesmosis injury continues and the club will provide an update when more information comes to light in the coming weeks.”

Hmmm.... No sending him off for surgery yet so I guess they are still hopeful then?

Looks like a Hail Mary for Nic. Either they’re really hopeful or there’s a chance he’s considering hanging them up after missing nearly 3 years on the trot. Don’t think you delay surgery and potentially interrupt preseason if it isn’t one of the two extremes. Ends up putting him behind for yet another year and isn’t really worth it if he’s a 1% chance of returning for a prelim/GF.

They're only delaying it for a few weeks. Wont make much difference to next year.

Just saw 7News sport segment (obviously not the greatest source being Basil) but it was interesting on the description. Apparently hes been “cleared” by doctors. Haven’t seen our injury report yet so curious to see how Vozzo puts it.
