NOW is the time for KT and DK to step in , we all probably knew it would come to this , we lived in hope that things would be different in 2017, but we were kidding ourselves.

Serious? We lost a practice match. There is a bit to be worried about for sure but when has a coach ever been sacked preseason? Ridiculous.

Can't sack him after a preseason loss, even though we all know the gigs up. Round 2 is likely after if go down to freo at home, we will be lucky to kick 5 goals v swans but that will be regular sweep under rug stuff for the club.

My guess is that they won't want to do this until after China. Maybe a month after the China game?

anyone have any thoughts to whom would be a better coach ?

Fair enough , if we beat both Swans and Freo a 3 year extension may be in the offing !

Should do it before, if we go to china and Lose to the Gold coast (#1 tourist destination) playing in the National colours of china…. they be thinking Port Adelaide who -we will haven't marketed the Gold Coast Suns to china and we will be an absolute joke.

I was a kool-aid drinker this time last year when despite Melbourne giving us a fingering (which I didn't see), many of you and beyond came away ringing alarm bells based on the signs and setups.

I'm staggered that after another failed year and some horrific performances so far this preseason, there are still individuals around the traps who are prepared to play the 'nothing cup' card.

If the apocalypse isn't here, it's on the horizon.

We look poorly coached. There's no method or clear vision on how we move the ball or want to play.

I love Ken as he was massive in getting us in a good space once again. But I feel he's on borrowed time, and a certain group of players would have killed another coaching career. What is the common denominator there??

For one. I'm not prone to knee jerk stuff but could you please point to ONE consistent improvement in either and or skills in the first two practice games. Not necessarily disagreeing with you but perhaps highlight the magic switch which the coach and players can turn on when the 'serious' stuff starts.

I have some concerns regarding the last two games; my point is that we don't have any insight into what our coaches and players are aiming to get out of it, and there is often little correlation between preseason and the real stuff.

Many posters seemed to want heads to roll based off a scratch match.

Although there has been notable concerns I think the form of our first year players (especially Atley and SPP), signs of continued development of our young backline (Clurey in particular), positional changes (Trengove forward and Wingate to the middle) and the return of Ryder/ emergence of Polec post injury have all been positive.

Surely a wait and see approach is best.

I understand your points.:thumbsu:

Yes serious , haven't you been paying attention the last 2 and a bit years ? , and a bloke called Higgins iirc got the chop at Sturt !

Sturt? Lol. Please.

Yeah I have and I'm as frustrated as anyone. Fact is if we were going to move him on it would have happened at end of last year. We have backed him in for another season and no way in hell is a preseason performance going to change that.

`A certain group of players WILL have killed another coaching career, ' is my ` common denominator ' axeman.

There's been a whole lot of chicken-egg enabling though. Hinkley could've moved a few on with all the resultant benefits (picks, cap relief, lighting a fire under the survivors) and didn't.

So Craig-esque.

This group doesn't deserve to have nobody traded out.

Well id dare say a fair chunk of the membership hasn't backed him in , myself included . You are correct , should have been moved on last year . Why do you claim we want him sacked because of 2 poor pre-season games when you absolutely know that to be incorrect ?.

Club is screwed for the immediate future, incoming purgatory

Gave up years of draft picks for players cos the club thought it was close
It is not.
? Situation/Premiership quality list misread
Gave up first year pick this year too (2017)

Rebuild with Wines, Wingard and younger
