He does look and sound at a loss imo.

The fear from when he was an assistant coach in and dealing with 2006 first hand you gup. Here's a thread with a title that's unambiguous - it's all Ken's fault, not Kochie's after all. Caro says so:

Ken Hinkley ... admits his pre-season fears that his team could struggle under the weight of expectation has been realised.
..."I'm reasonably comfortable that what has happened is what I feared might happen..."

Ah so. Exactly when did you develop this fear, Ken? When you were lying back in a hammock and contemplating... having handed the pre-season reins to Nicks?
I would be too if a great mate who you spend years together and one incredibly successful and intimate year together just got murdered. It's a worry that Ken seems lost without a senior assistant.

I still think he's medicated.
Paying money to the club doesn't make people arm chair coaches. One mediocre season after 2 decent ones doesn't mean the wheels have fallen off, all the criticism just adds more pressure to a team who is obviously lacking confidence. I've supported this proud club my whole life and live and breathe the Port and being a supporter means you do just that, not lay the boots in when things are down and then make calls using hindsight as to where the coaching has failed. This is looking like camry or central supporter behaviour.
Related to his back problems that saw him miss games?
I have no idea who patientmental is and as far as negativity, this whole thread reeks of it. In fact one is hard pressed to find many positive statements on this site. We're all armchair coaches. I am. You are too.
As far as your last sentence is concerned, you may well be one of these gups that PatientMental has introduced into the vernacular.
Ken openly admitted he made a mistake in the 2013 final. In my opinion he's repeated the same mistake - self-fulfilling negative prophesies. Let's have no more of 'em.
No , but the guys he has backed in week after week have kicked it out on the full , regularly .And sorry to say things have been going downhill for months , with no or only changes at the edges , mid field gets thrashed , drop the back pocket player eh , not very confidence inspiring id say. What do you want him to say? Typical of people to attack a guy the minute things go downhill. He didn't kick the ball out on the full 11 times against Geelong did he?

Whether this year is a blip or a full time return to being losers will be revealed in 2016.
2016 will be Ken's defining year as a senior coach imo.
Heading on the same road as Sanderson at the moment..surely he has more to offer...
did he have anouther mate.murderd in january also what a poor prickI would be too if a great mate who you spend years together and one incredibly successful and intimate year together just got murdered.
The problem with Ken, is he's too honest. We're all armchair coaches. I am. You are too.
