I’d rather we get Rankine.. more of a need, unless Luko can prove himself as a forward at AFL level this season..

we need that more than another half back/wingman/connector type like luko has been at GC up until now..

its interesting people here claiming he’s going to the powa.. as if he’s somehow already met with, negotiated a salary, and given a gentleman‘s handshake to the powa!.. and then somehow allowed this to leak from his manager and close family even though he has an entire season still to play at GC.

I mean, come on, are people really that gullible?. he, his manager and his close family wouldnt be telling anyone at all what his Jack real plans are.

if he wants to come home at years end and wants to play for port… he and his manager would be absolutely stupid to be even considering locking anything in at this point and discussing it with anyone. it instantly destroys any bargaining power they have when it comes to sitting down with the powa at the end of the year if its known that he wants to come home and only wants to play for port.

if it is the case that he wanted to come home and only play for the powa.. then if they (his manager/close family/Jack himself) were “leaking“ anything about it, they’d be putting it out there that he’s maybe interested in playing for the crows… this puts doubt in the minds at PAC and would make negotiating for the best possible deal much easier.

and as for the “oh, he only only wants to go to Port because they are a top 4 contending team” claim… what if they fall over this season and end up in the lower end of the top 8 or even worse?… does he then change his mind?.. even if he’s already quietly agreed with the powa that he’ll come play for them?. this is how stupid this argument has become.

Historically its been shown, players generally have already made their decision 12-18months before their current contract ends.

sure.. he may have decided he wants to come home.. he also my hve decided that the powa are his preferred destination..

but there is absolutely no chance whatsoever he, his manager or his close family (even if he has told them) would be saying it to anyone.. and there’s no way they wouldve already informed port of this.

it totally ****s up any hand he, and his manager, has at the negotiating table to be allowing this to happen this far out from the end of the season and would destroy his relationship with GC on the eve of the 2022 season.

He has definitely decided, agreed. He is coming home. Its just a matter of which Club. Port or the Crows would obviously definitely know where they probably roughly stand.

I agree zero chance the Luko family divulges to outsiders as to his preference.

This is not our first rodeo.

We know when you purchase a house interstate to where you are currently playing, means its game over.

Luko is coming home, its just a matter to which SA side, looks like Port, given the Crows just went all out for Dawson and maybe that is the reason why we also went big on him too. Maybe Luko told us/indicated to us him unlikely to come to us.

i listened to it and didnt get that vibe from what he said at all..

I took that as Roo using a convenient way to change the focus off himself and neutralising the other hosts attempts to make it sound like he was being deceptive about it and their attack on him of, as they put it, “Roo’s not exactly denying it”..

I think many here love to instantly jump at the very worst case scenario they can possible think up when it comes to the club at times… always glass half empty.. and yeah, maybe I do this too from time to time.. we all probably do.

Right now, based on output, Rachelle would be equal to Rankine.

Therefore, Lukosius would be the pick based on the need. We need a mobile tall forward to help develop any attacking plan.
