I would have to sit on the fence and wait to see how the season pans outboth are out of contract at the end of this season..
Mobile tall forward?Right now, based on output, Rachelle would be equal to Rankine.
Therefore, Lukosius would be the pick based on the need. We need a mobile tall forward to help develop any attacking plan.
Maybe to come home, but I doubt a club is locked and loaded! He might have a preference in mind, but surely as the year plays out he will get a better Idea as to which club has the better opportunity.Historically its been shown, players generally have already made their decision 12-18months before their current contract ends.
Luko probably has already made up his mind by now.
3rd Tall defender/Tall wingmanHow would you describe him?
cumbersome?
Yes.Are you talking next year?
Rankine.
That level of talent doesnt just disappear. its still there.. I just don't think GC are bringing it out of him.
but, for the crows, Rankine’s more of a need. Murphy is sh*t, Rowe looks alright but nothing spectacular. Rachele looks the goods but we need to push him into the middle eventually.
Rankine and Rachele in the same forward line.. yes please.
then rotate the two into the midfield as well..
Kick out specialistHow would you describe him?

Over time talent does disappear though. Confidence, injury, doesn't jive with the position etc can absolutely ruin a player.
since when has Jack been a mobile tall forward at AFL level?…Right now, based on output, Rachelle would be equal to Rankine.

When it comes to it our forward line at the moment is desperate for a genuine power forward to play second fiddle to Thilthorpe.
Heck, that might be the biggest hole on our list at the moment.
A genuine power forward to play second fiddle to Thilthorpe?
So we need two genuine power forwards now?
Huh? Like Melbourne don’t. Like Richmond didn’t.
Only really Eagles who had that in the last dozen premiers?

Is that a Quill award I can smell? Or just something else? I am sitting on the toilet as I write this, after all.A fair bit of McLure reporting going on this thread
Remember i got slaughtered for calling Luko overrated on here before he got drafted and interestingly enough not one person on here has yet apologised.Luko still getting by on his u18 SA boy status. if he weren't from SA we wouldn't even know who he was, and definitely wouldn't want to recruit him.
Trending like a slightly better Jack Watts with less scrutiny

He's is better than Jack watts though and still stand by my pre-draft prediction that he will be Bock like.

Richmond became a dynasty because they had Dustin Martin, plain and simple. That's not what Thilthorpe is tracking towards, not fully at any rate. He'll be a dangerous power forward in time, however to reach the absolute max he's capable of, we will need him to be much more. After all, he's a Nick Riedwoldt clone and a key forward who'll be able to do everything to a very high level if he stays healthy/confident if we play our cards right.
The game for us with this rebuild, and what will inevitably decide whether we win a premiership or not, is can we maximize on the talent of Riley Thilthorpe. A key forward who is able to be that power forward style player to partner Thilthorpe (and allow him to max that talent out) is likely to do more for us winning a premiership then any equivalent midfield investment.
It's funny you mention Richmond, as they became a dynasty by recruiting Tom Lynch to partner Riedwoldt.
Big difference between expectations (The Next Nicky R) & Bock.If he has a career peak like Nathan Bock, I mean, it's a solid return for pick 2. Even if he was to never move to a key position and just end up a tall Lachie Whitfield, likelihood you're not disappointed with it.
Richmond became a dynasty because they had Dustin Martin, plain and simple.
Because Martin is better than both of them, especially in finals. Then why didn't Geelong become a dynasty with Patrick Dangerfield, Fremantle with Nat Fyfe etc who were Martins equals?
Tom Lynch was the missing piece for that Richmond side. Another reliable goal kicker to partner Martin and Riedwoldt (noting in 2017 they were relying on a career year from Josh Caddy to provide that third option).
That’s a bit too plain and a bit too simpleRichmond became a dynasty because they had Dustin Martin, plain and simple.
