Bit of rumor on the GC board that they are approaching the AFL for some Ambassador type monies to help up Rankines contract

What I would say if that is the case that our club go straight to the AFL and in the strongest terms tell them they have no right to meddle in this and where was the meddling when all the other players left GC. This sort of stuff could cause deep rooted problems between clubs and the AFL if they are singling out specific clubs to punish like that on a possible trade offer

we should be telling Sloane right now.. if there is a contract for youat the end of 2023 it aint gonna be anymore than $200k and you’ll be captain of the SANFL side..

that‘ll free up a decent chunk of coin we can use to lure JHF..

Or just don't offer him a contract and save $200k because Sloane was beyond cooked prior to the ACL.

Yes opinions can change, basing it on one win against a flakey club that’s never won here seems a bit premature.

Having said that, Nicks changed selection strategy and game plan on the weekend, one of the complaints in my awesome thread.

But I tell you what, beat West Coast and I will take a REALLY off, win the last 3 and it will be another REALLY so it’s just s**t. Move Hamish on and the s**t can go too.

Kane suggesting any player swap, let alone the names mentioned, just shows how misinformed his takes are. Player swaps just don’t happen, if a player wants to leave, it’s all about what picks make it happen, occasionally with a steak knives player thrown in. If Izak wants to come there’ll be several days of chest puffing from both sides, and then there’ll be some form of pick swap, that’s it.

The sad part is Kane knows this, he’s just writing shit he doesn’t believe for clicks again, and once again people have fallen for it.
