Depends we may in up last and if he's the best west coast will draft him if he nominates.

Depends tho, he has pretty much said if Melb aren't picking me 100% I wont nominate. Really doesn't want to leave VIC. I think it's a certainty he will go number 1. Rich to West Coast, Naita to Freo. All 3 will be stars.

Melbourne will gain a Nick Riewoldt.
West Coast will gain a AA and potential brownlow winner in Rich.
Freo will get something we haven't seen before.

Going to be an absolutely incredible top 3.

Apologies in advance for what might seem a stupid question for those in the know but...
Does anyone know where he's playing over the next few weeks? Is he playing for Brighton or in the TAC Cup?

Would love to get along to watch a couple of games over the next few weeks so any help finding out would be appreciated. Thanks

I wonder how long it will be before the AFL starts to impose penalties for kids who pull bullshit like that. Imagine what would have happened if Gibbs had threatened not to nominate if Carlton said they would take him?

there's nothing you can do about it.. he hasn't officially come out and said that he isn't going to nominate if melbourne don't finish last.. he has said he is 100% staying in melbourne next year to finish school (fair enough) and as a result may not even nominate.. (so everyone has put 2 and 2 together and reckon he won't nominate unless he is assured of staying in melbourne next year)

so if ya get me.. he isn't really breaking any rules but everyone is sort of aware what his motives are..

It's not like we haven't seen it happen before, when the Eagles entered the comp a whole bunch of players waited a season or 2 before nominating and thus guaranteeing to stay in WA.

LOL! all this speculation about which club hes going to go to and what the club 'needs'. I AM SORRY TO ALL THOSE LOWLY-RANKED CLUB SUPPORTERS but Melbourne don't need a forward, nor a ruckman nor a KP back, THEY NEED A MIRACLE and they need members first of all, ditto for WCE and Freo(not on the members).

Watts will go to whatever club takes him, ONLY TIME WILL TELL!

i wasnt having a go at the club mate, Melbourne are a good club.........i was just saying that there is no point speculating about him as much as everyone is!

I have no issue in admitting we're a very average side. Fortunately we're turning to youth and getting rid of a lot of deadwood off our list, so we won't be down the bottom for much longer. Saying we need a miracle is silly to say the least.

Has anyone seen his last APS games of this year or the TAC matches recently because from what i have been hearing he hasnt been as impressive as early on in the season.

true, i expressed myself poorly. Youth policy will pay divedends in the future, glad to see that Melbourne won't be out of competition. As well, the thing i said about members applies for kangas as well, (we have terrible membership numbers). Anyway back on topic, Watts is likely to be great player in the nexy 10 years, Matthe Pavlich-ish i've heard. I will be happy when draft day comes around and all the speculation is put to bed.

According to the 2007 Draft Tracker - Watts could of Been Drafted Last Year

Check This Out:

Well considering Watts only turned 16 last year there is no way he could have been drafted.

He is one of the youngest people in this years draft and is pretty much a full year younger than Naitanui.
