This means Tigers won’t be getting Tom Green. We keep the cream.

No one will take dustys contract he will stay or retire.
Cotchin will retire imo and who knows on riewoldt.
Obviously big contracts of martin and lynch limits their flexibility but if they backend deals to 2025 and beyond im sure they can fit some trades in.
Caddy, Lambert, Edwards have already retired this season, which would free up some cap position. Riewoldt reportedly offered 300k, I'd imagine Cotchin offered similar, if they accept, that's significant pay cuts for both you'd think.

Even with big money for Dusty and Lynch, I dont think we are under cap pressure. Wouldn't be chasing Taranto for 750k over 7 if we were.

so, Cotchin will retire eh? Wrong! About to take up a 1 year deal, as is Jack, but both on severely reduced contracts. Sounds like they are making room in the cap for incoming talent, especially allowing for the retirements of Shedda and Lambert

Yep, you beat me to it Juss👍

Lol

Tom green will end up at Richmond as well , don’t need him yet.

This was gunna happen the day he’s listed him , and gws are aware

This is common knowledge in the industry
Green, Taranto and Hopper don’t work in the same midfield. And if your signing Taranto and Hopper for 7 years…

You could still use another given tarrant and grimes are both very close to the end but yes i rate gibcus highly.

You need a young key forward absolutely though.
Yeah. Miller looked promising as a key defender before he was sent forward/ruck late in the season and did pretty well. If Samson Ryan can step up and be that 2nd ruck I'd say Miller would end up back too. I'm very bullish on Ryan.

Be nice if we could take a highly rated key position player in the draft but it seems as though we won't have any early picks

Dusty is not retiring. He will see out the contract at a minimum.
Cotchin WILL play one more year, low coin.
Riewoldt MOST LIKELY plays one more year, low coin.

We have freed up quite a bit with those two taking less and Caddy, Edwards and Lambo gone.

We will definitely lose some mid range types if they both come in, but we're not under as much pressure as people think. Geelong have been a great model for a long time on a contract/TPP front. Tiges have watched and learnt a lot.

It changes over their midfield pretty well. I would say it would give them all the tools.

But also, turning over the midfield is like changing the lead singer of a band. You can change the other parts of the band and no one notices, but if you change lead singers it's a different band. They'll need a new game plan.

Please take him. Not worth a first rounder.
Correct. If we're feeling generous we might give them pick 19 with something coming back our way. Or just pick 30. ;)

We have another, his name's Bigoa Nyuon. Developing beautifully in the twos. Tylar Young a good chance to be added to the list if Essendon don't steal him first - he is a Richmond VFL player and we know they love them.

Samson Ryan is going to be a player. Probably a ruck/forward in time but a forward/ruck to start. And Jacob Bauer looks a decent third tall forward prospect. But yes, a secondary key forward to partner Lynch post-Jack is probably required. Josh Treacy is a target I don't mind.

That's why we'll try to keep pick 12 and instead give them next year's first. Draft Isaac Keeler. Boom.

My point was that he will stay or retire because the wages he is on make a trade too difficult.

Good points about the rest including the last para. Richmond have smart people in charge so im sure they are setting up their cap to be able to bring people in.

I guess I'm saying I KNOW he is playing on. I'll guarantee it.
